Day 9

And the last day of this adventure came.
On the road to Delhi we stopped in a village called Shahpura to visit the heritage Shahpura Hotel.
Oh, this property has a character! It’s an authentic castle turned into accommodation for the tourists heading to Sariska National park.
Spacious rooms, decorated as during the maharaja times, delicious food, good service - all you need to find in a good hotel.
We need some more time in India, but the calendar shows the date of our return home came.
Good bye India!
I’ll be back!

Day 8

It was the big Safari day today at Sariska National Park
We didn’t spot any tiger unfortunately ( only paw prints), but we saw many deers, wild boars, monkeys, peacocks, birds, crocodiles, rabbits.
And the view of the jungle at sunrise is mesmerizing
We also had a cooking class, so now I know how to properly cook some Indian dishes ( of course if I try to repeat it the result would be totally different). We went to the local market to pick the vegetables ( yep, there was a cow there).
Time to go home tomorrow
Hopefully there will be something more to see and experience on the road to Delhi

Day 7

The jungle adventure began.
Today we arrived in Sariska National park, famous with its wildlife - Royal Bengal tigers, deers, monkeys, peacocks, wild boars and much more.
Our accommodation is Sariska Safari Lounge - beautiful resort in the jungle offering comfortable stay and breathtaking views.
Some cheeky monkeys are entertaining us and we saw many birds, some of them pretty rare.
Tomorrow - my first safari ever, trying to spot as many animals as possible

Day 5
What a great way to start your day with visiting Taj Mahal at sunrise! The view is breathtaking as well as the feeling to stay face to face with a centuries old building - eternal symbol of love.
This extraordinary day continued with visiting Abhaneri Step Well ( also known as Chand Boari) - medieval solution of sourcing water, but also - incredible building which amazes even now, centuries later.
We also met some local craftsmen who did beautiful souvenirs in front of us ( I tried some pottery making with a doubtful success) and I’ll not deny I was tempted to buy some. At the end - it was a day worth to remember.

Day 2
What a magical city!
A fascinating mix of old and new: the modern buildings of New Delhi and historical heritage of the Old Delhi; timeless tranquility of the temples and the chaos of the street life, past glory and challenging present
Mesmerizing combination of car and scooter horns noises, human voices, street food and aromatic candles smells, small factories and craftsmen worships, street monkeys and dogs
Traffic that looks like an organized chaos, but in fact goes smoothly
Anything I could write about Delhi would look like expressing love and adoration. As this is what I feel to this colorfully city, full of contrasts, which goes under your skin so quickly

I would like to share with you live my impressions from my ongoing trip to one of the countries I always wanted to visit - India
Today is the first day of my journey and I’m so excited
I flew to New Delhi with a direct flight from London Heathrow operated by Virgin Atlantic, which honestly I can pronounce my new favorite airline. It was maybe the best flight I had so far. Great service, very polite and caring cabin crew. I felt spoiled - not only by them being so nice, but also - great food and selection of drinks. On board entertainment was very good too - I just found the newest top movies added to the list ( including the Oscar winner Battle after battle) and I spent the flight enjoying it. And we even landed earlier than expected.
The driver was waiting with a board with our names. We’ve en greeted with flowers. The minivan was spacious and air conditioned. And the hotel - Le Meridien Delhi is amazing.
Tomorrow morning will be a rest time ( as we have to get over the time difference), but after this - I’m looking forward to explore the marvels of India
