🚨Life Isn't a Rehearsal...🚨
Are you genuinely enjoying your life?
Or are you stuck in the cycle of eat, work, sleep, repeat... week after week, year after year?
Is there something you've always wanted to do? A place you want to visit, a hobby you'd love to try, a business you dream of starting, or simply more time you want to spend with the people you love?
How many times have you said, "I'll do it next year..." or "I'll get round to it one day..."?
The truth is, none of us know how many "one days" we've got.
Tomorrow could bring news that changes everything. A diagnosis. An accident. An illness. A phone call you never expected. Something that turns your world upside down in an instant.
We all assume we have time. Until suddenly, we don't.
If there's something you want to do and you're physically, financially, and practically able to do it, then do it. Make the memories. Take the trip. Learn the skill. Start the project. Spend time with the people who matter.
Because one day you may find yourself unable to do the very things you've been putting off.
I know it's a cliché, but some clichés become clichés because they're true.
Life really isn't a rehearsal.
You don't get to come back and do the things you wished you'd done.
So stop waiting for the perfect time.
Start living now. ❤️

Kev's breakfast this morning 🍓🍌🥥
A bowl of pineapple, honeydew melon, blueberries, banana, strawberries, raspberries, fresh grated coconut, Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of Manuka honey.
As he's now had his 3rd chemotherapy treatment, the tiredness is definitely starting to catch up with him, so we're focusing on building him up with as much goodness as possible. When appetite isn't always at its best, every nutritious mouthful counts.
This little bowl is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, protein, healthy fats and potassium, which he's been a bit low on recently.
One day at a time, one meal at a time, and doing everything we can to help keep his strength up. ❤️
Sending love to anyone else going through this or supporting someone who is 🥰

A question for you all...
If you'd fallen out with someone, or simply drifted apart and not spoken for a long time, then found out they had cancer, would you message them to say you'd heard the news and were sorry to hear it?
Or would you feel it was better to leave them alone and not get in touch?
Interested to hear what people think and, if you've been in a similar situation, what you did.
*** EDIT its not ME (Tina) deciding whether to contact a friend or not, its me wondering why a friend wouldn't contact me, when they know we've both had/got cancer***

🇪🇸 WHEN A CHEAP HOLIDAY BECOMES AN EXPENSIVE EXTENDED STAY! 🤦‍♀️✈️
A week ago, I managed to do something that only I could probably pull off... I left my passport on the plane when I landed in Spain! 😳
Fast forward seven days and I've still heard absolutely nothing about whether it's been found. So, with time ticking away, I've had no choice but to apply for emergency travel documents and a replacement passport. Once you do that, the missing passport is automatically cancelled, so even if it turns up now, it's no use for travelling.
The upside? The kindness of complete strangers never fails to amaze me.
A lovely lady contacted me and offered me a bed if I got stuck in Spain waiting for paperwork. She messaged me again today to let me know my bed is ready and waiting! Even better, her husband and son are Yorkshiremen, so at least I'd feel right at home if I end up taking her up on the offer. ❤️
Meanwhile, my daughter Steph and granddaughter Phoebe are due to fly home without me. That wasn't quite how we imagined this holiday ending!
As things stand right now, it looks like I could be staying in Spain a little longer than expected. Of course, things may change at the last minute, but at the moment it's a waiting game.
What was supposed to be a relatively cheap holiday has turned into a rather expensive adventure, but there isn't much I can do about it. Sometimes you just have to laugh, roll with it, and add another chapter to the travel diary!
If nothing else, it's proof that travel is never boring... especially when I'm involved! 😂✈️🇪🇸

I keep getting told I’m “looking well for my age” and that my skin looks good… so I suppose I should share what I’ve been doing rather than pretending it’s just good lighting and a decent filter 😂
I take Elavate Collagen every day and it’s become one of those little habits I don’t even think about now. I actually travel with it too because I don’t like missing it.
I was honestly fully expecting it to be one of those things I’d try, roll my eyes at, and send back for a refund after 3 months (very tight Yorkshire person here 😏) because they do offer your money back if it doesn’t work. 😍
Fast forward 18 months and I’m still using it… so make of that what you will.
I have it every morning in my coffee or warm milk. Just a heads up though — don’t put it in boiling water unless you fancy it going lumpy 🙈 warm/hot is fine.
What I’ve personally noticed is my skin feels better in itself, and it’s also helped loads with the aches in my arthritic knees, which means I can actually get my steps in without moaning too much… well, not as much anyway 😁 I’m easily hitting 20k steps most days when I’m away.
Anyway, I’m not saying it’s magic, but I am still using it 18 months later… and that says more than my original scepticism ever did 😄
Look at the difference between the first and last photo 😂😂😂

Does anyone have somewhere we could rent for approx 3 weeks from 5th June not too far from Widnes, UK. (Max 1.5hr) please? Preferably near the sea

I often get asked how we're coping with Kev's cancer diagnosis, and get comments like "stay strong", "think positive" and "keep your chin up".

Yesterday we were watching TV and an advert came on for an insurance for when you die, to pay for your funeral and then an advert for Macmillan Cancer nurses.

Kev says "This isn't great to watch when I've got cancer, and I've not got long left to live"

We both looked at each other and cracked out laughing. "Don't worry about your funeral, I'm just putting you in a cardboard box and burning you". I say to him. 😂😂

He turns to look at me and says, whilst laughing, "I can't believe you've said that, you'll be in tears when they say I'm riddled with cancer and ,time is running out".
"Pfft don't you believe it mate, I've been trying to get shut of you for a long time now". I replied 😆😂😂😂

So as you can see, we're fine. We're just getting on as we normally do. 😍😂

whatever life throws at us, we'll just do what we always do...crack on with it, together ❤️
Couldn't resist putting this photo on , did make us laugh 😂🫣

Day 1 of chemo done and it went really well.
We had a few laughs/chuckles mainly at his expense 😂 (see photos below)

My good friend Karen sent me a message saying:
“Miracles do happen… and why can’t it be Kev?” ❤️
And do you know what? That really resonated with both of us.
Why can’t it be Kev?
We know the odds. We know the reality. But we also know that sometimes people surprise everyone.
I’ve ordered an immune-boosting juice (recommended by one of my lovely followers) that you freeze into ice cubes to help during chemo. It’s had fantastic reviews, and the coolness should hopefully help soothe his mouth during treatment, while getting some goodness into him too.
We’re going into this fight together — and I mean together. I’m with him every step of the way ❤️
So we’re throwing everything at this little f*cker of a disease — chemotherapy, complementary oils, potions to kill parasites, immune-boosting juices and a whole lot of hope and determination.
Who knows… it COULD be Kev that beats this.
Watch this space 💪❤️
And we’re gonna kick some ass…
Well, not Kev’s… because after his pelvic exenteration operation, he technically doesn’t have one anymore 😂
So what are we thinking of "Chemo Kev"? 😳🫣😂🤮
If there's any 'silver fox' available men out there, aged between 55 to 65 let me know, cos this one is past his sell by date 😆 see captions on the photos 😁
