The German lads are loving their first trip here, fishing is hard but they have had up to 13 fish in a day. The suns out now and the temperature is rising for their last couple of days.

Chris is out on the water today after 2 days of storms and gales, also new arrivals Tobi and Patric are out on the water first day and already into a fish.
The rain has been mad here, lakes are up and La Serena is up to levels we haven't seen for several years.
Fishing is going to be hard, but the weather is a lot nicer from today on-

The Dutch lads couldn't go out for a couple of days due to storms and they really did work hard for their fish, horrid cold wet weather

Hopefully this mad weather is over for us, the graph pic shows water volume in La Serena lake increasing around 50hm3 in the last 24 hours. A huge amount of water as 1hm3 is equivalent to 2,641,720 gallons.

Last day for the Dutch Lads who have been coming fishing for over a decade with us.

The weather conditions have never been so bad for them due to storms and wind, but they managed 4 days out of 6 on the boats.
Its been mad throughout Spain with storms and rains - so much damage to roads, buildings and even campervans. Stay safe people

We are underway in our new season as of today.

Starting off with Barbel anglers along with predator anglers in March and eventually Barbel on the Fly May into June.

We have had an availability come up for June, Barbel on the DRY Fly, amazing fishing, only 1 week available due to a cancelation.

Heres some pics of Barbel on the tip rod, along with a couple of hard fighting river carp.

Were enjoying ourselves on the lake at the moment, just chilling and going out for a 3 hours or so in the afternoons, even getting a few fish out.

The waters have stopped rising now, still very coloured

Last September was a mad month.. a severe cold front moved in and the fishing was difficult for everyone. Regular visitor Chris caught well, he is an accomplished angler that always does well on his trips with us. we are looking forward to having a day or 2 fishing with him in 25, as he has just reserved again.
As for the South Africans, a great few days with the fun loving lads, great lads, mad as.

Happy New Year all. We have been away travelling and were back for a while sorting out for the new season that's fast approaching.

We are getting many reservations and enquiries, so space is now limited.

My friend, Rob, lost a barbel on lure close to where his clients were tip fishing for carp. They couldn't believe it so when he offered a day on the Boat fishing with lures for Barbel they took the chance to see what its about...

We had heavy rains the night before, but still managed to land around 30 Barbel between us ( dozens of hits not hooked)

a great laugh with nice lads, oh and awesome fishing.

We have been back on the lakes with friends before our season starts. Had an awesome session with a young German lad (Leo) who I bumped into at the lake, so I asked if he wanted to fish from the boat with me.
He had his first Barbel on topwater, missed loads of hits, and caught many Barbel on vertical fishing.
