Great trip to a goat farm near Gaucín, we even made our own queso fresco. Very highly recommend for a family day out, fun, informative and passionate.

Punta de la Chullera - 1 hr 30 mins from El Olivar, park between Punta de La Chullera and Playa de los Toros and grab some skewered sardines baked on an open fire at the Chiringuito Deiguichi then hop over the rocks to a tiny little cove with rock formations like something out of Star Wars.

Mi plaza favorita! Plaza Duquesa de Parcent is a beautiful leafy square, always calm, with the magnificent Iglesia Santa Maria La Mayor which is well worth the admission fee.

We have 200, 22 year old olive trees that we need help with. Each year our fantastic olives are dropping on the ground and we need someone to harvest and press this tiny grove. Happy to talk about a percentage of the oil, part payment, or payment only. The oil is fantastic! Green gold, peppery and buttery. We have been managing the grove with a no till, very low intervention approach for the past ten years and want to continue in this way. If you know anyone who appreciates this way of farming and could help please DM me, the next harvest will be November.

Holm oaks and asparagus. This is the second year I have found zero wild asparagus but I have seen some very quiet and canny hunters doing very well indeed with armfuls of the stuff. One was a good hour’s walk into the hills, another was just combing the sides of the lanes. There is definitely a skill to this and a good deal of patience and persistence and a very sharp eye.
