Before I can sell a destination, I need to have lived it. That's not a marketing line — it's how I actually work.
In April 2026, I spent 10 nights in Brazil — Río de Janeiro and Ilha Grande. Not as a tourist. As a DMC building a product I can stand behind.
🏙️ RÍO DE JANEIRO — in two chapters
Two stays, each with a different rhythm. First: energy, icons, and the city the brochures don't reach — Cristo Redentor, the Metropolitan Cathedral, CADEG Market at dawn, urban wetlands, samba. Guide: George Reneiro.
Second: slower, after the island. Parque Lage, Botanical Garden, Ipanema, golden hour at Arpoador. Río as a place to exhale.
🏝️ ILHA GRANDE — something else entirely
No cars. No roads. Just Atlantic rainforest, pristine beaches, and the kind of silence that settles into your bones. You arrive by boat. You leave by boat.
Highlights: Hawaiian canoe with guide Franco Raffaelli, Gruta do Acayá (a marine cave in impossible shades of blue), the Pico do Papagaio summit hike (8 hours, Brazil's most spectacular panorama), and a full-day island boat circuit.
🌿 THE APPROACH
Local guides. Local accommodation. Nature-based activities designed by people with a genuine stake in what they protect. Not a list of attractions — an experience arc.
If this destination interests you, your clients, or your tour operator portfolio — let's talk.
