I was standing on the deck of the Titanic at 12:30am on April 15, 1912. The lifeboats were still sitting in their davits. Nobody around me fully believed the ship was going down. I watched it happen from a lifeboat in the middle of a black ocean.
The RMS Titanic sank in 2 hours and 40 minutes. Of the 2,224 people on board, more than 1,500 lost their lives, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The lifeboats carried less than half the passengers the ship held.
If you had been on that deck that night, would you have believed it was sinking? Tell me below.
