We are so pleased to have heard the UK Government news.

We had been holding back posting news or updates until we saw some definitive statements from our government.

Having now heard the excellent “green light” news for the Balearics it confirm the general feeling that Mallorca and it’s neighbouring islands are completely different to the Spanish mainland.

Thank you to everyone that has been in contact and helping us through this dreadfully challenging time.
The main and most important thing is that everyone stays fit, healthy & well, the next is to plan for returning to some degree of normality.

In view of the UK Governments release from lockdown plans we were aiming to have the house ready for guests from July, the latest threats of a 3rd Wave are worrying but we are still pressing on with the plans to be ready.
Because we have been unable to travel we have not been to the houses since October 2019, we are having our friends and maintainers Marc & Andrea manage the works needed, this has not only involved cleaning but also decorating and also some repairs & replacements to some of the house woodwork around the balconies.
So, we press on and hope that come July/August travel to Mallorca is possible and guests can again start enjoying some R & R in the Mallorcan sun.
Many of our summer bookings are being filled by our guests who missed their 2020 holiday, we have transferred many making sure they didn't lose their booking payments by transferring payments to 2021 or 2022 bookings.

So for the moment, stay in touch, stay safe and cross your fingers for a continued relaxation of restrictions and a controlled return to normality.

We hope you are all well and coping with the unique, challenging and rapidly changing times.
We look forward to the New Year and hope 2021 brings us all more stable times and an increasing degree of normality.
We are sure we will see and hear from you again soon, in the meantime have the best Christmas possible and we’ll catch up again next year.

We hope you are all still in good heath, both body and mind.

After a very saddening and worrying start to 2020, things are looking up.
Airlines are resuming their flights and travel arrangements to & from Spain have been agreed between governments to be possible without any compulsory quarantine.
We have availability in August and September, so please get in touch if you would like to break away from the UK for a week or two.
All 4 of our apartments are prepared and waiting, even the swimming pools are open.
We have worked with our housekeepers and have plans to protect both our guests and them, so while the travelling climate may be different we are ready and waiting to give you holiday memories for 2020.

We have invested recently in refitting and decorating our houses & apartments, we also have Spanish tourist licences so are fully compliant with their laws, regulations and procedures.

Hi all,

What a challenging, frustrating and particularly worrying year this has been so far.

Our hearts go out to the many people and families that have been affected by illness or lockdown isolation due to vulnerability.

But the very recent changes we welcomed, initially the Spanish news they were removing the quarantine period for travellers arriving into Spain, but then even more that UK matched the relaxation, something that was necessary to make travel realistic.

These recent changes has triggered interest and a number of enquiries for booking dates, initially we are delaying new enquiry/bookings because we have periods held with provisional deposits, but we suspect some existing guests may need to change to later dates or next year which will release dates this summer.

We have our apartments ready & waiting and are looking forward to welcoming guests back for their holiday stays very shortly.

Hi,

We hope you are all staying safe & well during these unique, unprecedented and worrying times.

Sarah and I have been watching the situation unfold from the earliest worrying concerns to the current situation where airlines have made block cancellations of all flights for weeks at a time making international travel impossible, even if anyone wanted to travel; we’ve not been spared this problem as our own plans to spend a week in Mallorca earlier this month ended when Ryanair cancelled our flights.

While our houses Casa Flores are open, available and waiting for guests arrival, clearly most people have no means to reach Mallorca for their holidays so our houses remain vacant.

We have been struggling to put a plan together for both our guests and us, unfortunately the Mallorcan government are showing no sign of relaxing any of their charges for our tourist licences, taxes or anything else, nor are the Spanish banks mentioning plans to help with mortgages etc so while we are OK we have no rest from our costs.

But like everyone we are living from one day & week to the next.

We advise our valued guests to keep your insurances active and check what your insurers will cover, then contact us so between us we can discuss and rearrange your arrangements and plans.
