TRAVEL TIMELINE - part six

Sicily March 2018

And the travels continue, I went to visit family in Sicily. Staying in their farm house surrounded by vineyards, lemon trees & olive groves.

A true depiction of Sicily.

I was there for about a week, it was quite relaxing we went to the cork forest (this is where I learn that cork is grown on tree’s and harvested from the ‘bark’.) I was mesmerised. It’s a lovely walk with plenty of wildlife I think I even saw a lizard!

Next we took a trip to the beach- it was empty. We stayed local to a town called Niscemi, a small town in the middle of nowhere. The beach was a short drive but absolutely stunning.

The main thing we did was go to Agrigento ruins and tombs. There’s a lovely cafe here and we got a sandwich and conolo. This is definitely worth a visit if you’re going to Sicily.

With the island being pretty small you could do majority of Sicily within a week.

If I was to go back to Sicily I’d stay in the capital.

Things to do in Catania

* Teatro Romano & Odeon
* Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena
* Piazza del Duomo
* Teatro Massimo Bellini
* Street art tour
* Mount Etna
* San Giovanni Li Cuti
* A wine tasting
* Polo Tattile Multimediale “Borges”

Anything I’ve missed?? Let me know in the comments 🫶🏻

TRAVEL TIMELINE - part 5

Florence October 2017

I LOVE a holiday for my birthday, it is my ultimate treat no laundry, no cooking, no stress and i don’t know about anyone else but experiencing new culture and exploring new places is calming to me??

Florence is still a favourite of mine, I think it was just the right amount of busy in October and the weather was more than manageable!

Our trip was cut short by about a day as our flight was redirected to land in Verona so we had to get a last minute hire car and travel to Florence from there! It wasn’t awful but we only booked 3 nights so it did take away from the trip a little!

We spent the afternoon in Verona- I wasn’t all that impressed at the time, the colour of the buildings was nice (a shade of pink) but maybe I need to look into Verona a bit more as I have seen it on some peoples favourite places to go?? Am I missing something?

When we got to Florence did a lot of walking and a lot of eating&drinking, I mean…when in Italy!🇮🇹

I have been super quiet on here, I had to take some time to focus on my baby before he started nursery.

There is a lot that goes into creating itineraries for clients and researching to ensure I can make their trip as smooth as possible. I was finding that was taking me away from Isaac and he will always come first.

But he has started nursery now and I now have free time for my TA work soooo get ready to pack your bags, byeee!!

TRAVEL TIMELINE - part 4

Okay so my timeline gets a bit blurry but I do remember losing my phone at Annie Mac’ Lost & Found Festival in Malta (or Lost but never Found 🫠)
So that’s why I haven’t many photos of those few months!! So I’m just gonna do a little run down 🤣

April 2017 -Malta

We stayed between Bugibba and Qawra in St Paul’s Bay! Pretty much where the majority of the day festival was! I did do Malta maybe the year before for the same festival BUT I haven’t any photos 😆 it is a lovely place I think maybe slightly ruined by thousands of festival goers 👀

I have been back to Malta a few years ago now and I do think Bugibba is probably my least favourite, there’s a few bars and restaurants at the beachfront, the waterfront is pebbly and not a beach really! I found it quite expensive being out there but then I was only what 19??

I did have the KEBAB OF ALL KEBABS, I would probably drive to that kebab I’m not even lying it was at oz Sofra Kebab- I’d of eaten there every night no lie!! But I was actually dancing my little feet off at Tropicana stage 🤣

If I went back to Malta I’d look at staying in the St.Julian’s area or maybe Mellieha area, st Julian’s has a huge shopping area with arcades and lots of bars etc.

MALTA ACTIVITIES
- Boat trip to Gozo
- Visit the Red Tower
- Hike Dingli Cliffs
- Visit Mnajdra Archaeological Park

Tbh there’s loads!! And like I said we did go back so stay tuned for Malta part two!!

May 2017 - Benidorm

After Malta I did go to Benidorm for a Hen do, vibe. I know people think Benidorm is naff and a dive but if you’re after a stag/hen/18th birthday then this is your place to go!!

I actually think the town is stunning the beach is gorgeous, the bars & restaurants are affordable and yeah plenty of places to stay so I wouldn’t brush it off before you get a chance to go!! (And if you don’t ride the bull and go to the Morgan Tavern then you didn’t really go to Beni did you 🤪)

If Benidorm was a repeat trip for me I’d probably still stay in the centre and hire a car to explore what else there is to offer (especially if you’re going with kids as it is very alcohol based)

BENIDORM ACTIVITIES
- Terra Nature & Waterpark
- Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada
- Drive the coastline Valencia/Murcia

I’ve attached what photos I do have 🤣

TRAVEL TIMELINE - Location Three

AMSTERDAM

Another cold winter escape!! February 2017

I’m not gonna lie I hated Amsterdam, the beer was okay and the architecture was like nothing I’d seen before!! But the vibe just wasn’t on point for me and I swore to everyone I ever met I’d never go back…

We did a few things but Anne Frank was not one of them! We booked last minute so there was no chance of us getting tickets as they sell out MONTHS in advance!

We tried a lot of ‘street’ food, we did hop on hop off canal, we walked through the red light district (what an experience), we went to the ice bar- this was my first and I was mesmerised like what the actual heck??? Anyway I know that they’re everywhere but I was young 😆 we also drank a lot of beer (I had this honey beer and I haven’t stopped telling people about it since)

Since thennnnnn I’ve actually researched things to do in Amsterdam and I can swallow my words and say I would think about going back!?🫣

Things I’d do & places I’d go if I returned
-at least 1 museum
Van Gogh (reminiscing my school art class)
Moco (for banksy)
NEMO (great for kids/families & immersive)
- Heineken (because I’m a renound larger drinker now so)
- The Upside Down
- W139 gallery
- See a show at Concertgebouw (probably Jazz!)
- A food and drink tour
- Amsterdam Look out Swing
- A canal cruise (with beer & food.. mainly beer)
- Check out another local town (Zaanse Schans make some cheese and clogs by the windmills orrr visit the ever famous tulip fields at Keukenhof Gardens)
THERES LITERALLY SO MUCH- my naive 19yr old self should be ashamed xo

What’s your favourite Amsterdam activities, restaurants & bars???? Help a girl out 😬 convince me it really is as wonderful as it is in ‘The Fault in our Stars’ ✨

TRAVEL TIMELINE - Location two

Prague in January 2017

It was snowy & glorious!! We stayed quite far away from the old town but close to the underground (which worked out perfect) the underground here is simple yet effective it wasn’t overly busy which was great for us!

We did manage to see a lot walking and even bottled our own beer, I love a beer now but before this trip I utterly refused to even try one - the smell put me off and I was a spiced rum girly so had a sweet tooth (how times have changed)😆

What we did in our weekend in Prague
- Prague beer museum
- Bar crawl (I honestly couldn’t name a single one)
- Charles bridge
- Astronomical Clock & Old Town Square
- John Lennon Wall & Pub
- Můstek na Čertovce - a pretty bridge by JL wall with a water wheel (I’m sure at the time this was a popular padlock place, but that’s since been banned to conserve the bridge)
- Lesser Town Bridge
- Goulash soup in a bread bowl (I’d never really seen many cuisines in my life at this point and this blew my mind 😆)
- Dancing House

I have since been back to Prague, so I’m not going to do a ‘what id do if I go back’ keep following along and find out what we did on our 2nd trip to Prague ❤️❤️❤️❤️

17/09/2025

Wow wow wow, if you’re in Cornwall (or close) this weekend be sure not to miss this! The best of Cornish food in one place and entry is freeee 🧡

Enjoy xo

Good afternoon my little loves, I have been having a right mare with my phone, but drama over because we’ve been to Apple and your girly is back (once I’ve set this thing up)

So whilst I spend every spare second filtering through over 150k photos on my Samsung, you’re going to get my travel timeline!! Everywhere I’ve ever been from the beginning😳 with stories & recommendations for your future trips ✨

October 2016
My first ever plane ✈️

Cala D’or Majorca ☀️

I went here for my 19th birthday and I was a true novice- I did zero research, zero activities we just ate drank & walked (which to be fair I don’t mind, but it’s not how I’d spend my days there now). Unbeknown to me we did actually go to Es Forti which I would suggest as the views of the sea are spectacular 🤌🏼

Things I’d do if I went back

•Hike the Cala’s - I saw someone doing this on TikTok stopping for a light lunch on the cliffside and wow what views!!

•Visit the night market - just vibes, locals and fresh produce 🍉🥭

•Happy park - for those of us with kids this just looks like such fun 🤩

• Boat trip - especially if this is an all adults holiday!! I always find it’s nicer to spend a bit of money on it or even hire one yourselves, indulge🤭

•Try a jet ski - I’ve always thought about it but never committed 😬 one day huns x

Restaurants 🌮🥘

•Tacos Patron - Stunning Margaritas & Mexican food 🌮
•Noir - The best brunch spot & also live music in the evenings 🥞🥓
•La Pappa - Pizza & pasta 🍝
•Clements -Perfect bakery for on the go 🥐
•Soy - Sushi & Asian (plus the aesthetic is CUTE) 🍣
•Makao - definitely a spot for special occasions or if you enjoy the finer things in life! 🥩🦪
•La Bodega - Tapas & Sangria 🍷
