La Graciosa, considered by many the 8th island of the Canary Islands, is a unique place in the Atlantic. The island has a registration of some 750 inhabitants, making it the smallest in the archipelago, and one of the smallest in the world. However, is its unique beauty, amazing beaches like Playa Francesca, its anchorages, which are just jaw dropping gorgeous, its people, and most importantly, the fact that the island is stopped in time, that make it a fantastic destination. It’s an amazing place to reconnect with nature, the sea and ourselves. It also important to point out that the island is protected and for anchorage a permit is necessary. Fishing is also not permitted unless authorized by regional authorities. Nevertheless, it’s definitely a must for anyone wishing to discover the Canary Islands and all its splendor. La Graciosa, though small has a lot to offer.

Standing at its feet, whether in land or at sea level you can help but feel a sense of awe as you gaze at Teide’s larger than life presence and aura. A mystical mountain to the ancient natives of the Canary Islands, The Guanches, who believed their devil god, Guayota, was locked inside after a fierce battle against Achamán, their supreme god among their deities, defeated him in battle. In truth, the mountain has a unique feeling when you stand beneath its feet, it just might stuff of legends. Either way, its mind blowing views will definitely leave you breathless.

What a view?! I never get tired if watching Los Gigantes from the town. Imagine what it’s like looking up to this incredible mountain from a sail yacht. 😳😊

Back 2011 this small island made news world wide as it began, what many believed to be the birth of a new island, an underwater volcanic eruption. The eruptions lasted for several weeks and in its aftermath the entire sea bed, fauna and flora have since thrived making it by far one of the best diving destinations in the world. Fun fact, the volcano that caused such a dynamic shift has since been named Tagoro and its crater is about 88mtr below the oceans surface, dare to discover it your next dive?
