🦑 Do you know what you’re looking at?
One of our biologists spotted this diamond squid egg mass drifting near the surface and lowered a GoPro into the water to get a closer look.

Inside this gelatinous egg mass are thousands of diamond squid eggs, developing safely until the young are ready to hatch.

One of those small details of the ocean that few people ever get the chance to see.

Una de nuestras biólogas detectó esta puesta de calamar diamante flotando cerca de la superficie y bajó una GoPro al agua para observarla más de cerca.

Esta masa gelatinosa contiene miles de huevos de calamar diamante, protegidos mientras se desarrollan hasta el momento de la eclosión.

Uno de esos pequeños detalles del océano que pocas personas llegan a observar.

🐳 Every day we head out to sea hoping for encounters like these.

But today is also a reminder that this incredible place is more than a tourist destination. It is home to pilot whales, dolphins, turtles and countless other species that depend on healthy oceans.

On World Oceans Day, we celebrate the privilege of sharing these waters and the responsibility to protect them.

🐳 Cada día salimos al mar con la ilusión de vivir encuentros como este.

Pero hoy también es un recordatorio de que este lugar es mucho más que un destino turístico. Es el hogar de calderones, delfines, tortugas y muchas otras especies que dependen de océanos sanos.

En el Día Mundial de los Océanos celebramos el privilegio de compartir estas aguas y la responsabilidad de protegerlas.

🐳A pilot whale, right there.
No warning, no script... just one of those moments that only happen at sea.

This is a pilot whale, the species we see most often here in Tenerife. A resident population that lives in these waters all year round, moving, diving and surfacing on their own rhythm.

Sometimes they come this close. Sometimes they don’t. That’s the magic of it 🥰

Sin aviso, sin guión... uno de esos momentos que solo pasan en el mar.

Los calderones tropicales son la especie que vemos con más frecuencia en Tenerife. Una población residente que vive en estas aguas todo el año, moviéndose, buceando y saliendo a superficie a su propio ritmo.

🐳There is a sound that sometimes defines our mornings in the Atlantic: the rhythmic and powerful "puff" of a pilot whale coming up for air.

It’s a sound that no camera can fully capture, because it’s meant to be experienced with all five senses.

On our tours, we don’t just "watch whales", we come to listen to the rhythm of nature and understand why our resident pilot whales have chosen these waters as their forever home.
