Starless Perfection. One of the best meals I have had in years, and I eat pretty darn well. Cold white garlic soup with fresh anchovies and forest fruit ice cream. Perfectly cooked hake with an anchovy mayo and tomato bread crumble. Local ice cream on butter cake crumble. Off beat small producer red wine, not willing to be confined by a DO region. Perfection all around.

Roman Heart. Founded as a military camp to fight the Cantabrian wars of the 1st c. BCE, successive constructions of Roman/medieval walls still stand outlining the historic heart of this city in NorthernSpain
