When you live in Spain, the summer months are great but with no rain since April fires are a big worry. Unfortunately the mountain about 1km away went up last night. We are lucky that the bomberos are amazing and have been there all day and night and have managing to control the fire 🙏 2 helicopters filling big bags from our neighbors water deposit and 2 amazing fire planes that fly down to the sea, fill up and back to drop on the fires. Must have done 60+ trips today and still dropping now. Keeping everything crossed that it doesn’t come our way 😧

Very hot at the moment and lots of bookings for the next 6 weeks, difficult dealing with everything in the heat but somehow we manage ! The poor chickens really struggle so lots of water baths during the day 🛁

The girls had a great first time at the local Pony Club today. Looks like it will be a regular thing for Saturday mornings. If you stay with us and have young children I’m sure they would love to meet the horses. Very reasonable price and expert tuition 🐎🐴❤️

When the girls go shopping the boys go to the races 😊 Checked out the Circuito de Almería which is 20 mins up the road. We have had lots of guests staying with us who use the track. Current guests are in the white BMW 💨

Our pool is now open. The garden is blooming. Our Jacaranda tree is magnificent. The honeysuckle is flowering and bottlebrush shedding its pink bristles! We had a full apricot bounty and white mulberries galore. Everything including the weeds loved the recent rain!!
Lots of beautiful petals to clear up! Gave me an idea too dry the petals to make pot pourri!!! Like I will have time for that..
We've had the swallows return to nest outside the bedroom window. Even seen a few snakes now the weather is hot.!!
We have some dates in Apartment free for summer still. If you fancy a tranquil getaway to explore the surrounding adventures get in touch. Car needed lol. Water parks, Mini Hollywood, Caves / Horseriding / Bikers / Beach so many places we are blessed to be near.

Last day of March and the sun is shining 🌞
Looks like the rain has finished thankfully and summer is on its way 😊 need to get cracking on the pool as would be nice to have it open at the start of May 🏊‍♀️

Today the girls recreated the famous scene from Indiana Jones Last Crusade on Playa de Mónsul which is 45 minutes from here. Then a little drive back to Playa de los Genoveses which is a much bigger sandy beach. Can’t wait until it’s warm enough to take a dip but although it was 23’ today the water is 🥶
