Ayer disfrutamos de un magnífico día de migración durante el taller de rapaces y planeadoras que impartimos para el evento MigBird de Tarifa.
Alimoches, buitre de Ruppell, culebreras, calzadas, gavilanes, cigüeñas blancas y negras y muchas otras especies, no faltaron a su cita.
Muchísimas gracias a los asistentes por su confianza…

Yesterday we enjoyed a great day of raptor migration during our birds of prey workshop that we led for the MigBird Festival in Tarifa.
As we expected, Egyptian Vultures, Ruppell’s Vultures, Short-Toed Eagles, Booted Eagles, Sparrowhawks, Black and White Storks and many other species, were spotted during the course.

FIO nunca defrauda y en su XX edición, hemos pasado un fin de semana increíble en la mejor compañía.
Han sido días de intenso trabajo pero a su vez de muchísimas alegrías al ver la cantidad de amigos y amigas que hemos ido creando a lo largo de los 13 años que hace que presentamos aquí a Birding Tarifa.
Gracias a la organización, a , , a y a todos los que habéis hecho posible esta edición tan especial…

FIO never disappoints and in its 20th edition we got to spend an incredible weekend in the best company possible.
It has been days of intense work but also of great joy as we saw the number of friends we have made over the 13 years since we first presented Birding Tarifa right here.
We would like to thank the organisation, Turismo Andaluz, the Cadiz Tourism Board, Tarifa’s Town Hall and all and every one of you who have made this special edition possible...

¿Qué la migración está acabando?
Aún nos quedan muuuuuchas aves por ver esta temporada. Recuerda que octubre es sin duda el mes con mayor variedad de especies de todo el año. Continúan pasando planeadoras como calzadas y culebreras, etc., la migración de los buitres hacia África, el mejor momento para ver Ruppell, las pardelas desde la isla, las últimas estivales, las primeras invernantes, la llegada de las grullas y un sinfín de sorpresas que te esperan en Tarifa y en todo el Estrecho.

Is the autumn bird migration really coming to an end?
We still have soooo many many birds to come across this season. Bear in mind that October, by far, is the month with the widest diversity of species. Soaring birds such as Booted and Short-toed Eagles, etc., will carry on heading South, the impressive Griffon vulture migration to Africa, the best moment to see Ruppell’s Vulture, the Shearwaters off Tarifa island, the remaining summer species and first wintering birds showing up, the arrival of the Common Cranes, and countless other surprises that await here in Tarifa and the Strait of Gibraltar.

Nos encontramos en Boumalne Dades, en el ecuador de nuestro tour privado para observación de aves en el sur de Marruecos y estamos disfrutando muchísimo de cada momento con nuestros clientes de Reino Unido. Hoy tuvimos la suerte de poder encontrarnos con especies como ganga ortega, camachuelo trompetero, collalbas desértica, culirroja y yebélica, terrera sahariana, curruca de Tristam o del atlas y tuvimos un fugaz encuentro con un águila perdicera en la garganta del Dades. Mañana pondremos rumbo a las dunas del desierto del Sáhara.

Here we are, in Boumalne Dades, half way through our private birdwatching tour of southern Morocco and enjoying every bit of it with our clients from U.K. Today cracking views of Black-bellied Sandgrouses, Trumpeter finches, Desert, Red-rumped and White-crowned Wheatears, Desert Larks, Tristram,s Warblers and a close up encounter with a Bonelli’s Eagle up in the Dades Gorges, to name but a few. Tomorrow is time to head to the sand dunes of the Sahara.
