3-year PhD Position in Biochemistry | Lyon, France
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team in Lyon, France, to investigate the molecular mechanism of a multidrug efflux pump belonging to the ABC transporter superfamily.

* The project. The PhD project will combine biochemistry, structural biology, and biophysics to understand how this membrane protein recognizes and transports different substrates, with the broader goal of uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying multidrug efflux.

E Candidate profile. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in biochemistry and a keen interest in structural biology, biophysics, and membrane proteins.

Experience with membrane proteins or structural biology techniques would be an advantage.

Rinn Energy is offering PhD research opportunities across a range of critical energy and decarbonisation challenges, working with leading researchers across Irish universities.

Fully funded PhD position in Computational Chemistry 🇪🇸

Title: Organic Radicals Via Single Electron Transfer In Lewis Pairs: New Frontiers In Reactivity.

Duration: 4 years.

Start Date: Flexible, between January and August 2027.

Gross Annual Salary: Approx. €21.000, increasing in year 3 and 4.

Location: Faculty of Chemistry, University of the Basque Country EHU, Spain.

Funding Agent: Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) within the Proyectos Generacion Conocimiento 2025 call.

The project aims at establishing new ways of introducing radical properties in organic molecules and gain mechanistic insights into their chemical reactivity and biological function.

• They are particularly interested in candidates with a background in Chemistry or related areas, and an interest in computational and/or organic chemistry.

PhD Fellowship in Neuroscience in 🇪🇸

Dr. Jordi Bonaventura, Principal Investigator of the Neuropharmacology and Pain group at the Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona, is currently welcoming expressions of interest from highly motivated candidates interested in applying for competitive PhD fellowships.

The proposed PhD project, "Converging Pathways: Interplay between Opioids and Dopamine at the Nexus of Mood Disorders and Pain", will explore how opioidergic and dopaminergic systems interact to shape brain function in health and disease, combining behavioral neuroscience, fiber photometry, PET imaging, and other cutting-edge approaches.
