Looking ahead: the 2027 total solar eclipse
On 2nd August 2027, southern Andalucía will become one of the world's best places to witness a total solar eclipse.
From Tarifa and Cádiz to Marbella, the path of totality will cross some of the region's most spectacular landscapes, offering several minutes of complete darkness as the moon passes in front of the sun.
But the eclipse is only part of the experience.
Spend the week exploring Cádiz's historic streets, relaxing on the beaches of Tarifa, discovering the white villages of the Sierra de Grazalema or enjoying the atmosphere of Andalucía at the height of summer.
Demand for accommodation along the eclipse path is expected to be exceptionally high, making early planning essential.
Our latest article explains where to watch the eclipse and how to turn this once-in-a-lifetime event into an unforgettable journey through southern Spain.
