Winter in Mundaka
Even on days without a big swell, there’s always someone in the water here – chasing that legendary left-hand wave of Mundaka.
Cold Atlantic wind, quiet streets, a sleepy harbour… and out there, a few surfers who just can’t resist paddling out, no matter the season.
When we travel here with our guests, we don’t rush.
We watch the surfers, feel the winter light on the estuary and enjoy this raw, authentic side of the Basque Coast – far away from the crowds.
Our trips are private and tailor-made, so every visit to Mundaka is different… just like every wave.

Etxalar– A timeless village , tucked away in the lush valleys of the Navarrese Pyrenees .
Etxalar welcomed us with cobbled streets, stone houses, and peaceful charm 🌿
At the churchyard, we found ancient Basque funerary stelae — hilarriak — circular stones carved with stars, moons, and sacred symbols from a pre-Roman tradition
We’re always seeking places like this — authentic, beautiful, full of soul.

Did you know that Salto del Nervión is Spain's tallest waterfall? 😱 With an impressive 222-meter free fall, the views are simply jaw-dropping! Plus, the surrounding trails offer spectacular hiking experiences for nature lovers. 🗺️✨
Although the waterfall does not carry water all year round, the scenery is just as mesmerizing. If you’re lucky enough to witness it flowing, consider yourself truly blessed! 🍀🌈

We have visited the Tolosa Puppet Museum and it has been a magical experience 🎭✨ Surrounded by stories on strings and characters from all over the world, we have discovered the art and tradition behind each puppet. We offer 2 different lodgment to our travelers:
Etxea Rural House for small groups. Rural house restored with original and old materials, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with capacity for maximum 12 people that can be rented in its entirety or partially.
Sasibil Rural Studio .Beautiful and cozy rural studio, with fire, adapted for people with reduced mobility, built in the farmhouse´s old cabin with capacity for 2 people and with an additional sofa bed
The perfect location of the farmhouse makes possible to visit many awesome places in the Basque Country in short car rides.
The magnificent spot, the cosy country house, the surrounding landscapes and sunsets and the possibility to know in deep our culture, will make your stay a time to remember.
