❤️ One of my favourite Valencian traditions!
Today, October 9th, we celebrate Valencia Day and Sant Donís, Valencia’s very own Valentine’s Day! 🥰
One of the sweetest traditions is La Mocadorà, when lovers give each other little marzipan fruits, vegetables and fireworks, beautifully wrapped in a colourful scarf (mocador in Valencian). 🍊🍋🍓
This year my family gifted me this gorgeous Mocadorà from ! 😍 I’m especially in love with the beautiful scarf by , with lovely illustrations of Valencia. So many little details that make this city special! 💕
I love how Valencia keeps traditions like this alive. It’s these little things that make living here so wonderful. ❤️

“Suzie, waar moeten we écht gaan eten bij het strand?” 💭

Deze vraag krijg ik wekelijks in m’n DM’s. Eén van mijn laatste ontdekkingen is Restaurante Mengem

Ze hebben een heerlijk tasting menu (€65) en met de w**epairing (€35) erbij heb je echt een bijzondere avond. Lekker lang tafelen op het terras! 🍷🍽️✨

Omdat de kust van Valencia zóveel meer te bieden heeft dan alleen de standaard boulevard, verzamelde ik al mijn favoriete restaurantjes, beachbars en verhalen in de ¡Vamos a la Playa! gids.

Join us for a unique olive oil experience outside Valencia ✨

We’ll pick you up in Valencia and drive together through the beautiful countryside to a traditional olive almazara in Requena. There, María Dolores — the owner herself — will welcome us and host an authentic olive oil tasting. With so much passion, she explains the entire process from tree to bottle and teaches you how to taste extra virgin olive oil like a professional.

You’ll discover why high-quality extra virgin olive oil is so healthy — rich in antioxidants, full of healthy fats, and an essential part of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Once you understand the quality and flavour, you’ll never look at olive oil the same way again.

And we make sure everyone can fully enjoy the experience — we translate into English and Dutch throughout the tour.

To complete the day, we continue with a w**e tour and tasting, followed by a delicious local lunch 🍷

Today I organized a beautiful tour for .good.life.abroad to the Albufera 🌅

We explored the rice fields, enjoyed a peaceful boat trip on the lagoon, and of course… we ate well 🍽️✨

Fideuá, vegetarian paella and to finish it off: helado de turrón 🤍

This is Valencia at its most authentic — nature, tradition and incredible flavors all in one experience.
