Evening all🙂. Here are some photos of this year's improvements and maintenance, and if I do say so myself, Kokomo has never looked lovelier. We have added a new boardwalk which links up to the public footpath on the beach, a new deck for the bamboo sofa at the beach gate, and an imitation house to make the garden cooking/dining area completely private. We have replaced the old thatch with new synthetic thatch, which doesn't lose its color, attract insects, or catch fire. Mosquito repellent plants have been added to the cooking/dining area, so feedback on whether this works will be appreciated. You now have an uninterrupted ocean view from the master bedroom terrace, as all the trees have been trimmed. A lot of painting has been completed, so Kokomo now looks fresh again. On another note, the last available dates for this summer are as follows: April 23rd to the 30th, the first week in May, and the first and last week in June. July 12th to the 19th or the 19th to the 26th. Or both 😉 Enjoy the rest of your weekend 😎

The sun finally returned this morning after almost seven days and nights of torrential rain and a dark grey sky here. ( Probably our year's water supply ). Thankfully, nobody was here for a vacation last week, but it is good to get our year's rain supply at the one time and before the holiday season really kicks in. A clean-up operation will start this week.

Evening friends, I hope you are all keeping well & healthy, we are preparing the garden and villa for the coming holiday season at the present time and some of our palm trees have become too tall to trim by using a long ladder so we now use ( bicycle spurs ) which are easy and safe to use. No more ladders for me since my encounter with gravity a few years ago 🤪🙃+ My daughter Kellie informed me that it is time for me to put my ''big boy'' pants on 😂🤣 so I have taken her advice😊 even though as we grow older, we still feel that we are young & capable on the inside 🤔 I am looking forward to, probably the second last year of catering to Holiday Guests & friends. 🤗

The Carnival in Aguilas 🥳🤩🎊🎉(a 35-minute drive from Kokomo ) Takes place between February the 22nd and March the 21st 2025. It reminds me of the world-famous Carnival in Rio De Janeiro with its Colourful extravagant costumes and parades + a huge fireworks display. It has been declared an International Tourist Interest, During the past few years Águilas Carnival has developed into an extravaganza that offers two differing experiences in the same event: The "Carnival by Day", where luxury and beauty reigns in a spectacular nature and coloring of the carnival groups and floats and the "Carnival by Night" with its spontaneity and popular roguery 😎 https://youtu.be/BZWsfd-JNKE

Back to work again and missing my family already after a lovely Christmas 😊. The only consolation here is being outside doing maintenance & improvements in a mild climate with fantastic sunrises/sunsets and a blue sky. 😎 I look forward to seeing all return guests & meeting some new people this year. 😊
