(us) Logbook · Chapter 6 · The Hull Becomes a Reality

On Tuesday, September 29th, the hull of the OLBAP CATAMARANES TR12 Marín(us) finally came out of the mould.

After the laminating, vacuum infusion, consolidation and curing process, we can now really start to see the boat we are building.
Marín(us) has a body! The three hulls reveal the distinctive configuration, while the double bottoms have been completed and filled with foam, creating additional buoyancy reserves. The fuel tanks, hoses and integrated components have also been installed, ready for the next stage: joining the hull and deck. On deck, the rod holders have been installed in the gunwale, preparing the for its future boat configuration.

From October 1st, we move into a new phase: installing the interior bulkheads and preparing the structures that will join and reinforce the whole boat.

The helm cabin is already finished and will be installed once the hull and deck assembly is complete.

Until now, we have talked about design, materials and construction. Now we can finally start to recognize the boat

The hull is finished. The structure is coming together and Marín(us) is becoming real .

They caught : mackerel, pinkseabream, white snapper with the fishing technique: bottom fishing and also bonitos and little tunny with the trollingfishing. We love to ! To protect the mediterranean sea.

Fishing, Swimming &

Yesterday we enjoyed an incredible and refreshing private in with three young and experienced American anglers.

Throughout the day, we combined the three fishing techniques that define our fishing experiences at Charterinad:
Bottom fishing with natural bait,
Light jigging with Sabiki rigs,
Coastal trolling with live mackerel, which rewarded us with a beautiful Bluefish.

As always, respect for the sea comes first. Most of our catches—including bluefish, mackerel, pandoras, seabream and comber—were carefully released back into the Mediterranean as part of our catch and Release philosophy.

The fishing was only part of the adventure. Between fishing sessions, our guests cooled off with refreshing swims in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean and enjoyed spectacular, acrobatic jumps from the yacht.

Another unforgettable 🐟 Workshop at ‘sea!

Last Friday, July 17th, we welcomed a new group of anglers to one of our Sport . Whether they were complete beginners or experienced fishermen, everyone shared the same goal: enjoying the sea, learning new techniques, and spending an incredible day aboard a premium fishing boat with a professional crew.
During the workshop, we practiced: bottom fishing & Sabiki Jigging and we finished with the fishing technique: trolling with live bait. Our fishing guide Toni Alavedra prepared two live horse mackerel as bait. Just a few passes along the coast were enough to hook and land a beautiful Bluefish , a perfect ending to an amazing day on the water!
At CharterInad, fishing is about much more than catching fish. It’s about sharing knowledge, creating unforgettable memories, and seeing the excitement on the faces of children, couples, families, and friends who discover or rediscover the passion for sport fishing together.

Bluefish 1 – charterinad.com 1
Yesterday we enjoyed another exciting 🐟 charter !
We started the day using the Sabiki jigging technique to catch fresh mackerel, which our prepared as live bait for trolling.
The trolling session quickly became exciting, with two Bluefish strikes! One fish was successfully landed, while the second managed to steal the bait, leaving us with nothing but the head of the mackerel. That’s fishing!
At CharterInad, we are committed to responsible and sustainable fishing. Every mackerel that wasn’t used as live bait was carefully released back into the sea, and the Bluefish we caught was also safely returned to the water….
Every trip is a new adventure, and every release helps protect the future of our Mediterranean fishery.

- 🏊🌴😎👒☀️🐳💦💙😍👍☺️ & in the Last Saturday, 27 June, we organised a very special private fishing charter for a group of friends from Portugal who wanted to enjoy a unique experience in Barcelona. From the very beginning, our professional fishing crew carefully prepared every detail of the trip to match our guests expectations. The experience started with a relaxing coastal cruise while our fishing guide prepared the equipment, natural bait, and explained the different techniques of bottom fishing and Light Jigging with Sabiki rigs, allowing everyone to participate, learn, and enjoy the experience regardless of their previous fishing knowledge.

Despite the high summer temperatures, the heat became much more enjoyable by alternating fishing with refreshing swims in the open sea. Throughout the trip we caught pandora, red seabream, horse mackerel and a huge weever fish, which attracted everyone’s attention because of its venomous spines and the correct and safe way to handle it.
On board, we improvised a small portable Bbq of gas where our fishing guide cleaned and prepared part of the catch so that everyone could enjoy freshly cooked fish only minutes after it had been caught. The tasting was accompanied by traditional Catalan tomato bread, Spanish potato omelette, and a lot of Jamón.
