The Sidetegnaw Medhane Alem Church in Gulele, Addis Ababa, stands as a symbol of resilience. The name "Sidetegnaw" (The Exiled) honors a miraculous icon that was looted during the 1930s occupation and taken to Italy. After years in "exile," its triumphant return to Ethiopia became a sign of divine favor and national victory.

Today in Gonder
Today is also a massive day of celebration in Gonder! Known for its deep spiritual heritage and historic castles, Gonder vibrates with prayer and traditional hymns today. Whether you are at the sanctuary in Gulele or the historic peaks of Gonder, the blessing is one.
