Roots & Culture Travel Community Based Tourism in collaboration with local Reggae and Rastafari communities

A platform aimed at developing tour and travel programs in collaboration with local Reggae and Rastafari communities in different countries. It is our mission to offer unique, authentic, and meaningful encounters with local people and communities to our guests, and to create real opportunities for social-economic development of the people and communities we work with. At the moment we offer organi

zed group tours to Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, and we can provide customized programs for individuals and private groups in these countries. We are also involved in organizing music events and we support community development projects of different kinds. In Ethiopia we work closely with local Rastafarians and their communities, as well as with Dires for Development Charitable Association, an Ethiopian charity who is our local partner in organizing logistics and by doing so we support them in sustaining their organization. In Kenya we work with different people and organization most notably the Deaf Centre in Kwale and REGGAELIZE IT - VIBES100, who help us to host the visitors and manage all logistics and promotion. Formally we were known as Rastafari Travel (2015-2020), but after we recovered from the Pandemic we decided to move forward as Roots & Culture Travel. Roots & Culture Travel is part of The Long Trail, an international social enterprise specializing in Community Based Tourism and Community Development (www.thelongtrail.travel).
