What makes our Volcano Discovery tours unique is that we provide our clients with ample time (3 days/2 nights), not just to visit Erta Ale,but much more in the surroundings.

Today was one of those rewarding moments where our team raised the bar and visited , a rarely visited site located between and , roughly a 3-4 hours walk from Erta Ale's basecamp.

In addition to the visual pleasure, we were able to capture some amazing shots of our findings, most notably the multi-colored sulfur deposits that are relatively much rare to see in comparison to 's geothermal fields.

A day very well spent, end of the day was celebrated with further sightings and overnight at 's caldera!!!

Updates On Eruption At Hayli Gubbi Volcano The Hayli Gubbi Volcano (in the Erta Ale Range of the Danakil Depression) erupted for the first time in recorded history on November 23, 2025. Sending a massive ash plume up to 45,000 feet (about 14,000 meters) into the atmosphere, the eruption began at approximately 08:30 UTC and was detected via satellite imagery, with the ash plume drifting across the Arabian Peninsula, including Yemen and Oman, and reaching as far as India, causing flight disruptions in those regions....
