•WASHINT• is an end-blown wooden flute originally used in Ethiopia. Traditionally, Amharic musicians would pass on their oral history through song accompanied by the washint.

While visiting the falls of the Blue Nile river it is very common to observe shepherds playing this traditional instrument which gives the site highly authentic vibes. 🇪🇹
