Has anyone visited the Blue Nile Falls (Tis Issat) in Ethiopia?
I'm curious to hear other travelers' experiences.
The Blue Nile Falls, located about 35 km from Bahir Dar, is one of Ethiopia's most beautiful natural attractions. Known locally as "Tis Issat" or "Smoking Water," the waterfall is especially spectacular after the rainy season, when the Blue Nile flows at its strongest.
What I love about this place:
The impressive waterfall and the sound of the rushing water.
The mist that often creates beautiful rainbows.
A peaceful walk through local villages and scenic countryside.
It's an easy day trip from Bahir Dar and Lake Tana.
