Today, on World Environment Day, the Tigrai Hiking Group proudly joins the global call to protect our environment and build a sustainable future for generations to come.
Over the years, our members have gone beyond hiking by actively contributing to environmental protection and community development. Together, we have:
✅ Supported the establishment and development of parks in towns including Axum, Shire, Adigrat, Temben, Adwa and other areas.
✅ Participated in cleaning and preserving important historical and heritage sites, particularly in Axum and surrounding areas.
✅ Promoted environmental awareness through community engagement, volunteer activities, and outdoor events.
✅ Encouraged the protection and promotion of our natural and historical treasures.
As we celebrate this year's theme, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding our environmental initiatives, strengthening conservation efforts, and creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Tigrai.
Together, we can protect nature, combat climate challenges, and build a better future.
