Today, Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Tigrai organized a half-day workshop in Mekelle, bringing together representatives from all Tigrai hiking branches, including Mekelle, Adigrat, Shire, Tembien, Adwa, and Axum. The primary agenda focused on fostering collaboration to enhance domestic tourism and ecotourism in the region, as well as addressing the challenges faced during hiking activities.
The workshop provided a platform for open dialogue, idea-sharing, and mutual understanding among the different branches. As a result, participants reached a collective agreement to work closely together moving forward, with a shared commitment to promote sustainable tourism and improve the overall hiking experience in Tigrai.
Following the workshop, attendees visited Atse Yohannes Palace. The visit was both educational and engaging, offering insights into Tigrai's rich cultural heritage and royal history.
