My name is Tanja and I'm a teacher and authorized tour guide in Helsinki. I will be happy to become your private guide in this White Capital of the North! I came here 30 years ago from Lithuania for family reasons. I am in love with this adorable city. I graduated with a Master's degree in Russian language and literature from the University of Vilnius in 1985. I'm working as a language teacher
and guide. I am a professional teacher, guide and translator/interpreter in my own company in Helsinki and I speak four languages fluently: English, Finnish, Lithuanian and Russian and I can provide tours in any of these languages. I am really passionate about Helsinki, I really know and love the city. I tell my guests a lot about Finnish history, design, architecture, culture and also about interesting traditions of the Finns (and there are many of them!) and the Finnish life style. Ainola is a lovely house near Lake Tuusula, which is about a 30 minute drive from the capital. The Lake Tuusula region has played a significant role in Finland’s cultural history, having been the home of many other artists. Helsinki is a vibrant capital with many attractions to see. I will get you acquainted with the most interesting places and facts about Helsinki and it' s people, and show you special places which only an insider knows in Helsinki.
