This summer, we once again enjoyed beautiful weather in Finnish Lapland without having to deal with unbearably hot temperatures 🌞.

🍃 Summer in Lapland is bright, green and pleasantly cool. The Midnight Sun keeps the days light around the clock, making it easy to spend long days outdoors. You can take a refreshing swim in a cool fell lake, hike through the green forests or simply enjoy being outside.

If you didn't make it to Finnish Lapland this summer, why not start planning for next summer already? Saariselkä is a great place to experience the long summer days, fresh air and beautiful nature.

The air in Lapland is one of nature’s most valuable treasures, something you truly learn to appreciate when you feel it.

💙 Finland, and especially northern Lapland, has some of the cleanest air in the world. And that alone is a good reason to visit Saariselkä.

Our shop is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. You can reach us by phone Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

The winter season begins on November 22, 2026.

Iiskonlompolon ruskakahvila on auki klo 11–15 vielä tämän viikon perjantaihin asti. ☕ Tule nauttimaan kupillinen kuumaa, tuoretta pullaa tai keittolounasta.

💚 Sauna on lämpimänä kahvilan aukioloaikoina hintaan 10 € (sis. pyyhkeen).

Finnish Lapland moves from summer towards winter, as autumn transforms the landscape into a colourful display 🍂. Shades of yellow, red and orange cover the scenery, the fells and the river valleys. The intensity and shades of the colours are different every year, but the autumn colours are always a beautiful experience.

Hiking during the autumn foliage season is very popular. The air is cool, but not yet too cold. You can make the most of the beautiful nature, pick berries and mushrooms and drink clear water from the streams. The fresh air makes walking feel easy, but remember to be prepared for changing weather conditions.

🍂 In September, the evenings are already getting darker, so with a bit of luck, you may also get to admire the Northern Lights in the night sky.

Iiskonlompolon Ruskakahvilan yhteydessä pääset myös saunaan 🤩! Telttasauna on pystytetty lammen rannalle ja se on lämpimänä kahvilan aukioloaikoina maanantaista perjantaihin klo 11–15 viikoilla 37 ja 38.

10 €:n kertahinnalla pääset kokeilemaan aitoa retkeilytyylistä saunomista. Hintaan kuuluu pyyhe, sauna ja uintimahdollisuus.

Iiskonlompolon Ruskakahvila sijaitsee hyvien kulkuyhteyksien päässä. Pääset paikalle helposti kävellen, pyörällä tai autolla.

Ruskakahvila aukeaa taas maanantaina 7.9.2026.

Olemme auki viikoilla 37 ja 38 maanantaista perjantaihin klo 11–15. Tarjolla on keittolounasta, pientä suolaista ja makeaa syötävää, kuumia ja kylmiä juomia ja tulistelua.

Tänä syksynä on myös mahdollisuus kokeilla telttasaunaa 10 €:n kertahinnalla (sis. pyyhkeen, saunan ja uintimahdollisuuden). 🤩 Tule Iiskonlompoloon saunomaan!

📍 SIJAINTI:
Sijainti on muutama satametriä kylältä. Lähde kävellen tai autolla kohti laskettelukeskusta (Ski Saariselkä) ja käänny Kullanhuuhtojantielle. Seuraa viitoituksia. Pääset paikan päälle myös pyörällä.

Starting September 2, 2026, our reindeer farm visit is available again.

🦌 Reindeer are semi-domesticated, and each animal is owned by a reindeer herder. In Northern Lapland, reindeer herding is still an important source of income for many people.

🦌 During the farm visit, you will learn more about reindeer herding, the life of reindeer and how these animals thrive in the cold climate of Lapland. You may even get to test yourself on one of the most important skills: “suopunki”, the Lappish lasso throwing!
