Joensuun keskustassa sijaitseva Taitokortteli juhlii tänä vuonna 20-vuotista taivaltaan!
Vuodesta 2006 lähtien se on ollut osa kaupungin elävää keskustaa, jossa käsityö, kulttuuri ja paikalliset tarinat kohtaavat. Juhlavuoden kunniaksi toukokuu on Taitokorttelin juhlakuukausi, joka tuo esiin alueen historiaa, tekijöitä ja vuosien varrella syntyneitä muistoja.
Juhlakuukausi käynnistyy maanantaina 4.5. teemalla Korttelin tarina. Avausviikolla Taitokorttelin historiaa esitellään kuvien ja tarinoiden kautta Galleria Mustosen näyttelyssä.
Koko toukokuun ajan järjestetään myös opastettuja kierroksia, joilla pääsee tutustumaan korttelin toimijoihin, rakennuksiin ja yli satavuotiseen historiaan.

Located in the heart of Joensuu city centre, Taitokortteli celebrates its 20th anniversary this year!
Since 2006, it has been an integral part of the city’s vibrant centre, where craftsmanship, culture, and local stories come together.
To mark the anniversary year, May will be celebrated as a special anniversary month at Taitokortteli, highlighting the area’s history, its makers, and the memories built over the years.
The anniversary month kicks off on Monday 4 May with the theme The Story of the Block. During the opening week, the history of Taitokortteli will be presented through images and stories at the Galleria Mustonen exhibition.
Throughout May, guided tours will also be organised, offering visitors a chance to explore the businesses, buildings, and the more than hundred-year history of the block.
