Our small wilderness inn offers nature-based holidays with a genuine personal touch.

Jongunjoki is located 32 kilometers north of Lieksa in the middle of the North Karelian landscape. We are open all year round by appointment. Our company not only accommodates guests but also organizes programs and diverse nature experiences according to our customer's wishes. Anyone traveling with a child, an elderly person, or an active adventurer, can come and enjoy nature with us. The proximity of the waterways encourages not only swimming and rowing but also canoeing, kayaking, packrafting, SUP boarding, fishing.... Jongunjoen Matkailu arranges equipment rental, guidance, and other necessary equipment on request. On land you can hike, bike, pick berries or mushrooms... In winter, skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding, or ice fishing are the must-do activities. Guests can also just come to slow down and relax in the middle of a unique nature. Accommodation can be arranged either in the double rooms of the main building or in a separate, spacious cottage with amenities. In addition to accommodation, Jongunjoen Matkailu offers meals and transport from the nearest train station or airport. The beach sauna, smoke sauna and nordic bath are heated on request. Rivers and lakes are an essential part of life in Jongunjoki. For several months each year, the waters remain covered by ice. Perhaps that is why the warm months by the water feel so special.

Water brings calm, gives life and sustains countless species. It refreshes us on summer days, invites us to stay active, to paddle, fish, swim, or simply admire the scenery. It completes a landscape that would not be the same without it.

Everyone enjoys the water in their own way in Jongunjoki: some seek adventure, others peace and quiet; some share moments with family, while others find a place to connect with nature.

Joet ja järvet ovat olennainen osa elämää Jongunjoella. Lämpimät kuukaudet veden äärellä tuntuvat aina erityisiltä.

Vesi rauhoittaa, antaa elämää ja ylläpitää lukemattomia lajeja. Se virkistää meitä kesäpäivinä ja kutsuu liikkumaan, melomaan, kalastamaan, uimaan tai vain ihailemaan maisemia. Se täydentää maiseman, joka ei olisi sama ilman sitä.

Jokainen nauttii vedestä omalla tavallaan Jongunjoella: toiset etsivät seikkailuja, toiset rauhaa; jotkut viettävät aikaa perheen kanssa, kun taas toiset löytävät paikan yhteyden luomiseen luontoon.
