The Northern Lights are incredible. But sometimes they are viewed at 3 AM in temperatures below -35°C.

The snowy fells look untouched and peaceful. In reality, there can be over a meter of soft snow beneath your feet. One wrong step and you disappear almost completely into the drift.

Ice fishing on a frozen lake can be an unforgettable experience. But extreme cold can become dangerous surprisingly fast. Fingers, toes and exposed skin do not get second chances.

The most beautiful places in Lapland are often the most remote. And the most remote places demand respect.

That is why we recommend exploring Lapland with a local guide.
