We offer high quality dog sledding safaris for many years of experience. Our kennel is located in Kittilä. Our safari trails go close to the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and you can enjoy scenerry of Aakenustunturi fell. We like to offer you a natural way to enjoy the pure nature of Lapland, even our guide to driving with the dog sled. You can choose a trip to the 10 km, 20 km forest hut or 3

0 km husky day. Program include transfers from Levi and back. We also make tailor-made safaris to customer needs 5-30 km. Our dogs are Alaskan Huskies. Welfare of dogs is of prime importance to us. Our dogs eat high-quality dog food, kennel is large and dog houses is heat insulated, dogs get individualized care and exercise all year a round. Our dogs have been successful in middle distance sled dog races, they won the gold medal of the European and Scandinavian Championships.

May is always "Veterinarian Month". 🩺🐾
At that time we take care of vaccinations and planned treatments:
- 25 dogs vaccinated 💉
- 4 female sterilizations
- 2 male castrations
- 1 umbilical hernia repair surgery
- 3 dog back X-rays 🩻
- Marta's synovial fluid medication

Not scheduled visits were the stitching between the toes of Edorf's paw.

Still left for June:
- 1 female sterilization
- 2 dog dental care 🦷
- 3 dog back X-rays
- 3 puppies vaccinations

In March we participated in the main competition of the season, Swedish Championship LD 350 km Beaver Trap Trail in Norråker, Sweden.

This was the third time we took part in this race.
The first year we just went to get a feel for what the competition was like, Hannu came in third place and won free entry for the next year.
The second year the trails and mountains were already familiar and we achieved second place.

This year was the third time and we had a new young team.There were a total of 12 dogs, 7 of which were participating in the race for the first time. We knew that this team was faster than the previous ones and we decided to ride with a slightly different tactic than before. This paid off a bit in the end, but the team got second place nicely.☺️🥈🐾

In every race you learn more about yourself and the dogs. But also what to do and what not to do.
There is still one race left in April, and then we will start with two teams in To***co Trail.

Sled dogs are hard-working athletes.💪🐾🐾
They need days off to recover from work. They also get sore muscles and joint locks. Light massage, heat-reflecting coats and liniments help with milder problems. But sometimes you need the help of a professional to deal with problems.

We usually use six dogs to pull the customer's sled, but when the trail is hard and icy, five dogs are quite enough. 🐾🐾
On the other hand, after a heavy snowfall, the trail can be very soft and heavy to walk, there can be seven dogs or, if necessary, eight dogs pulling the sled.❄️❄️
This way we can always guarantee that the load is not too heavy for the dogs to pull and the safari is always safe for you and the dogs.👍
