Merry Christmas everyone! May it be peaceful and relaxing for all of us. It has been truly odd year for all of us and not all can celebrate the season with their usual manners. Normally this time we are busy with day visitors from all over the world. This time we spend the Christmas just by ourselves, but the activities remain the same. Yesterday we had a good amount of new snow, so I bet the dogs are eager to do some sledding.

And obviously we need to sing some Christmas carols with the best audience ever. This time it consists of oldies Sakke, Cata & Lady Grey. Finnish Christmas song "Joulumaa" tells you how to find a way to the Chrismas Land. That kind of travelling is possibe even in 2020, as it can be found by searching for the inner peace.

Most of the snow has melted, so no more sledding this spring. Instead of it boys are playing fetch.

Greetings from snowy Kuhmo. As you see, we have still full winter here. For a reason everyone knows, our winter season with guests ended some weeks earlier than normally. Since then our life has been surprisingly similar to previous spring times - we tend to isolate ourselves from the outer world for some weeks every year and spend the days with nice tasks like firewood making, ice fishing, skiing and dog sledding of course.

This time there is of course something else in the background as well. A great worry of what the future will bring to us and our close ones. Corona epidemic is just reaching these remote areas so it is surreal to follow the news of the horrific situation in Italy, Spain and numerous other places. Finnish health care system is known to be among the best, but this will be a huge challenge also here in the coming months.

So much is already said about this topic, that I want keep it short. We truly believe that we will land on our feet and hope everyone else will do so too.

We asked for some fresh snow and we certainly got it! It has been snowing heavily on several days, so the trails need a lot of grooming. Luckily these guys enjoy the task. My black&white team today with three siblings (Kynteli, Meirami, Salvia) and their father, (Hurja) aunt (Hilda) and cousin (Anju).
