Birdfinders finished this year’s “Finland Owls and Norway” tour on Wednesday 20th May. Main target species on the tour were owls, gamebirds, woodpeckers, eastern specialities and arctic species, and very well targets were found. Some of the observed highlights were Great Grey and Eurasian Pygmy Owl, Capercaillie, Black Woodpecker, Red-flanked Blue-tail, Siberian Jay, White-billed Diver, King Eider, Red-necked Phalarope etc. Birding habitats varied from Oulu region forests, fields and wetlands to North Norway's tundra and shores of Barents Sea. Memorable moment experienced.
