From France to Halti, the highest point of Finland by train busses and skies!
It was a great pleasure to guide the skiing part of the trip. Seven days on skies in Käsivarsi wilderness area in mid March with a group of adventurous and brave people who truly respect the nature.
If anyone else feels like travelling here by land to ski or canoe, I am more than happy to help organizing the adventure!

Ce fut un grand plaisir de guider la partie ski du voyage. 7 jours de ski avec un groupe de personnes aventureuses et courageuses qui respectent vraiment la nature. Un grand respect à vous tous. Merci 🙏🏼

🌲Luonto on meille kaikille tärkeä, siitä emme voi olla eri mieltä. Lapin matkailussa luonto on ehdottomasti suurin valttimme, ja myös PuroPuron toiminnassa erityislaatuinen ja upea luontomme on tärkein tekijä. Ilman luontoa meillä ei olisi mitään.
Tässä on vinkki, kuinka sinäkin voit osaltasi auttaa hurjaa vauhtia katoavan monimuotoisen metsän suojelutyössä.

Luonnonperintösäätiön tukeminen on suora ja luotettava kanava luonnonsuojeluun. Lahjoitusvarat käytetään luonnonalueiden ostamiseen ja niiden rauhoittamiseen, tuki siis konkretisoituu suojeltuina metsinä, joissa vallitsee pysyvä rauha. Tukeminen on todella helppoa, voit vapaasti valita summan joko kuukausi- tai kertalahjoitukseen. PuroPuro on valinnut tukimuodoksi säätiön kummeuden, eli kuukausilahjoituksen. Pala ikimetsää on myös hyvä lahjaidea tavaran sijaan 🎁🌲

🌲The Nature is extremely important for us, and many other species. I guess we all agree.
PuroPuro is donating monthly to Finnish Natural heritage foundation, , that buys old forests for permanent protection. To protect a piece of old-growth forest is also a good idea for gifts 🌲

🌲When you come from Lapland to south Finland, the forests feel like jungle. I wish there woud be more of these untouched, old and diverse forests left. Places that give a living for countless species, also for many endangered ones. Places that make the time stop. Why we humans don’t really respect old, pure and real forests?

🌲Kun silmä on tottunut Lapin luontoon, eteläisessä Suomessa metsät tuntuvat viidakoilta.
Vanha ja koskematon metsä on monimuotoisuuden aarreaitta, jossa aika pysähtyy. Suurin osa suomen uhanalaisista lajeista elää juuri vanhoissa metsissä, m***a silti vain alle 3% Etelä-Suomen metsistä on suojeltu. Miksi meillä ihmisillä on niin vähän kunnioitusta aitoa, luonnonvaraista, lajirikasta ja puhdasta luontoa kohtaan?

Nature prepares for winter, it’s cranberry time. In the mornings the frosty swamps are hiding behind a haze. And when you look closely enough you start spotting these super berries that look like red pearls that have dropped in the moss. I just love this time. ✨
