A magical Christmas in Lapland 🇫🇮 – the land of the Northern Lights, thousands of frozen lakes and Santa Claus!
❄️ A unique location: Experience a true winter fairy tale just a stone’s throw from the Arctic Circle. The villa is situated on the shores of Lake Simöjarvi, which freezes over in winter and offers plenty of opportunities for winter fun: snowmobiling, a long cross-country skiing trail, and space (not just) for children to go ice skating or sledging.
❄️ A fairytale atmosphere: a white landscape, polar nights, and the chance to see the magical Northern Lights, whether from the lakeside or from a cosy barbecue hut with a glass roof – a very popular feature in Finland.
❄️ For young and old alike: The countryside invites visitors to enjoy winter fun. You can take a day trip to the town of Rovaniemi, home to 🎅🏻 Santa’s Village: You’ll meet Santa in person, enjoy a dog-sled ride and have a hearty lunch. Santa’s Village is crossed by the Arctic Circle, which you can cross to enter the world of Santa’s elves, who are busy wrapping Christmas presents, or to have your photo taken with Santa. You’ll also find Santa’s Post Office here, where you can send a postcard or letter directly from Santa with a North Pole postmark.
What does our accommodation offer?
🏡 Accommodation: You’ll have the whole cottage to yourselves; it has 2 bedrooms with the option of 2 extra beds, a sauna and a relaxation room. A refurbished and fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious living room with a fireplace. Electricity, internet and drinking water are included in the price of your stay.
A cottage experience: During the winter months and at Christmas, there will be a Christmas tree and fairy lights. In the garden, there is a newly built barbecue hut where you can cook up a delicious meal and, from the windows, watch the Northern Lights over the frozen lake whilst staying cosy and warm.
How do you get here?
🚗 By car: get ready for a journey north, full of adventure. We’ll put together an itinerary and recommend places along the way to stop for a break or soak up the energy of the stunning local countryside.
✈️ By plane: the nearest airport to our cottage is Rovaniemi. There are car hire companies at the airport. The drive from the airport to our cottage takes approximately 1½ hours. We recommend buying groceries in Rovaniemi itself or in the village of Ranua, which is the last stop on the way to us. The nearest other airport is in Oulu (approximately 2½ hours’ drive).

The price does not include final cleaning (you can either do this yourself or book it for 150€) or bed linen and towels (guests bring their own or can book them for 15€ per person).
