We spent 11 days discovering the best of Kyushu 🇯🇵✨

Here’s everything we did on a day trip to Takachiho! 👇

Takachiho was definitely one of the highlights of our 11 days in Kyushu! You can choose to self-drive like we did (car rental available on Klook!), or book a day tour from Kumamoto or Fukuoka.

🚗 8AM: Drive to Takachiho from Kumamoto

🛶 10AM: Takachiho Gorge Rowboat
The ultimate highlight! Pro tip: You must book this online in advance. Slots open 2 weeks out and usually sell out within 10 minutes, so set those alarms!

🥢12:30PM: Lunch at Nagashi Somen Chiho-no-ie
Catching your lunch as it flies down a bamboo slide is as refreshing as it is fun. A must-try experience!

⛩️2PM: Amanoiwato Shrine & Amanoyasukawara
These are an easy walk from each other and free entry!

🚃 3:40PM: Amaterasu Railway
This open-air train has the best views! Crucial tip: We arrived at 11:30 AM to buy tickets and there were only two slots left for the day. If you’re driving, stop here first thing in the morning to secure your time!

🌅4:30PM: Drive back to Kumamoto

Would not recommend doing this 🤣

We highly suggest spending a couple of days in Rome, with more time to appreciate the history and stories behind every place. Book your attractions, experiences, and hotels in Rome and around Europe on Klook! 🧡

Did you know that Disneyland Paris consists of two main theme parks located next to each other? 🏰🎆 From the newly reimagined Disney Adventure World (where World of Frozen is located) to the classic Disneyland Park (pictured here), every detail really evokes nostalgia within the child in you.

Spring updates from Kumamoto, Japan: Cherry blossoms are looking pretty full! 🌸🌸

We’ve just arrived in Kumamoto where we’ll begin our road trip leg of the journey. Started off at the iconic Kumamoto Castle, which had stunning sakura views.
