Why Experience Lapland in Autumn?

First reason would be to come for the Colours
🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵🤎🤍🩶

Stay for everything else.

One autumn season, 5 reasons to experience:

💛The mornings are made for going outside!
Cool air, low light and a forest covered in autumn colours. Put on your jacket, step outside and see where the path takes you.

The trails feel personal! Really they do!
With fewer people around, a hike can feel less like an activity and more like time spent somewhere. Just you, the landscape and the sound of your own footsteps. (Experience the silence)

Food tastes different after a day outdoors.
Wild berries, mushrooms, local fish, warm soup, freshly baked bread. Autumn is a good excuse to sit down, eat slowly and stay at the table a little longer.

There are stories around the fire about the summer that just ended.
About the coming winter and about life here in the north.
The best conversations happen when there is nowhere else you need to be.

The north feels honest in autumn.
Why not - it’s not trying to impress you. The season is changing, the days are getting shorter and nature is preparing for winter. There is room for everything here. No need to rush.

And somehow these are the things that make everything feel more real.

So yes, come for the colours - but leave with more in your heart - the silence, the conversations, the forest and the feeling of having been somewhere that moves at its own pace.

It's here - the logo 💚💙

What do think ?

There is a Special season in Lapland

Summer is over but winter hasn’t arrived yet.

🍂For a shirt while, the north belongs to autumn.

Here are five reasons why it feels so special:

The colours are real💛❤🧡💙
No filters needed. The fells and forests turn shades of gold, red, orange and deep green — and the colours change with the weather and the light. ☀️✨

The nights begin to return.
After the brightness of summer and it's amazing midnight sun, darkness slowly comes back. The evenings feel longer. The sky and the stars becomes visible again.

The forest gives generously.
Autumn is berry and mushroom season. Lingonberries, bilberries, mushrooms and other wild ingredients become part of the landscape — and sometimes part of dinner too. ( 🐾Good food for all the animals in the forest too!)

People have more time.
The pace changes after summer. There is more time for a coffee, for conversations, a sauna or a long meal with friends gathered around the table.

You can feel the season turning.
❄️The first cold mornings. (They are here already!)
The colourfull leaves under your feet. The quiet before the first snow arrives. Everything tells you that something is about to change.

There is something beautiful about arriving in Lapland just before winter - you get to see the north becoming quiet.

Arctic Alma – experience the season in between.

What happens in Lapland when winter comes? ❄️

The forests turn into a winter wonderland
Soft snow settles on the trees, the world grows quieter, and every walk feels a little more magical.

The lakes freeze over
The first frosty days slowly cover the lakes in ice, opening up a whole new winter landscape to explore. Be sure to ask a local, if it's safe to go for a walk on a specific part of a lake or a river!

The polar night arrives
Days become shorter and evenings longer. The darkness invites you to slow down, stay warm and look up at the stars — perhaps even catch the Northern Lights dancing above.

Snow-covered forests, crisp winter days and warm, cozy evenings.
Come slow down with us in Lapland.

What happens in Lapland when autumn comes?

The reindeer gather-
As autumn arrives, reindeer begin to gather in larger groups. It’s also the beginning of the rutting season — an important and lively time in the reindeer year. (The reindeer also like to get on the roads, so look out in traffic!)

The forests change colour-
The green fades into shades of gold, red and orange. Lapland’s famous ruska transforms the landscape into something truly magical.

Days are spent outdoors-
Especially those sunny autumn days are made for moving — hiking, exploring the forests, picking mushrooms and making the most of the crisp northern air. In the evening, the pace slows down with a cozy atmosphere, warm sauna and time to unwind.

Active days, cozy evenings makes the magic of autumn in Lapland.

What actually happens to your brain in nature?!

Stress drops and fast Cortisol falls within minutes in a green space. Heart rate slows. Your shoulders let go of tension you didn't know you were carrying.

The mental chatter goes quiet.
Nature gives your overworked focus a rest — that's why ideas suddenly appear on a forest walk. Your brain isn't doing less; it's doing something different.

Your nervous system feels safe.
Time in nature lowers activity in the amygdala, the brain's alarm center. In plain language: nature tells your body it's okay to exhale.

And the best part? You don't need a wilderness expedition. A slow walk, a seat by the water or simply five minutes of watching snow fall — that's already enough.

You don't need Lapland for this to work. Just a tree, a lake and a patch of sky.

Although… Lapland at dusk is hard to beat.

POV: You came to Lapland and realised you didn’t need another busy holiday.
Maybe you needed a different feeling

You needed space.

Space between the plans.
Space between the notifications.
Space between everything you have to do.

And suddenly, standing in Lapland feels like exactly where you’re supposed to be.
