Some seasons ask you to slow down. Spring in Lake Saimaa wakes you up, softly.

It draws you outside, onto forest trails, onto still water, onto a bike, into the kind of clean spring air that makes movement feel easy again. This is the season of change, when the rare Saimaa ringed seal climbs onto the rocks to moult in the sun, ospreys return to nest, and the whole landscape begins to feel alive again.

Every day brings something new to notice. And that is the best part of all.

Lake Saimaa skipped straight into spring this year. The ice is gone almost a month earlier than usual, the open water is calling, and the first paddleboards, kayaks and boats are already out.

This Saturday 16.8. you can follow or join to Punkaharju Triathlon - 3,8 km of swimming, 180 km cycling and 42 km running.
