Elokuu käynnistyi mukavilla ratsastusretkillä helteisessä säässä. Metsä tarjoaa onneksi miellyttäviä varjoja, ja puiden lomassa eivät ötökötkään kiusaa kulkijaa. Hellejakson aikaan retket ratsastetaan varhain aamulla ja aamupäivällä, jotta hummat ja ratsastajat pääsevät viettämään siestaa iltapäivän paahteessa. Lapin kesää ei voi ainakaan moittia koleaksi! ☀️🏇🏻
Retkiä päivittäin eri tasoisille ratsastajille. Viikonloppuisin ja tilauksesta myös päivävaellus tunturiin!

August kicked off with pleasant horseback rides in the heatwave. Fortunately, the forest offers refreshing shade, and among the trees, even the bugs don’t bother travelers. During the heatwave, the rides take place early in the morning and before noon, so the horses and riders can enjoy a siesta during the afternoon heat. You certainly can’t call a summer in Lapland chilly! ☀️🏇🏻
Daily rides available for riders of all skill levels. On weekends and by request, full-day treks into the fells! ⛰️

Kävimme tervehtimässä laitumella lomaa viettävää nelikkoa. Sää oli mitä otollisin pienelle retkelle järvelle, ja Vertti ja Velmu nauttivat kovasti pikku pulikoinnista. Ei tuntunut vesikään enää kylmältä! 🌼

We went to greet the foursome spending their vacation in the pasture. The weather was perfect for a little trip to the lake, and Vertti and Velmu really enjoyed a bit of splashing around. Even the water didn’t feel cold anymore! 🌼

A 2-hour summer trek takes place at Aurora Village in Ivalo, with well spirited Finnish horses. These treks are especially suitable for those with some prior riding experience – you can specify your skill level when making a reservation!
Ask also about our half-day trek, where we head to a wilderness shelter to enjoy a light trail snack. 🏕️

Pitkän ja epäilemättä tapahtumarikkaan elämän elänyt Velmu-pappa elää uutta nuoruuttaan laumamme parissa hyväkuntoisena ja ahkerana työntekijänä ja arvokkaana perheenjäsenenä. Kovinkaan riehakas vaari Velmu ei ole, ja yleensä luo lauman vallattomiin nuorukaisiin paheksuvia silmäyksiä. Nykynuoriso! Velmu tulee kuitenkin toimeen kaikkien kanssa, eikä anna kenenkään erityisesti pompotella itseään. Reissukaverina Velmu voi olla päivästään riippuen universumin hidasliikkeisin hevonen, kunnes on aika jolkotella - silloin papparainen syttyy intotiloihin. Mahdottoman kiltti Velmu viihtyy pitkillä vaelluksilla erämaassa, ja elvyttävillä päiväunilla oman tarhan turvassa. ❤️

Introductions continue - next is the senior of the herd, Velmu! 🐴🥕
After a long and no doubt eventful life Velmu is experiencing a second youth in our herd as a realiable worker and a valued member of the family. Velmu isn’t the wildest steed of the herd, and instead he tends to give playful youngsters a side-eye. Those rascals! Velmu gets along with everyone and let’s no one push him around. On the trail Velmu might be the slowest horse in the universe (depending on his day), but only until it’s time to speed up - that will get Velmu excited! Lovely and kind Velmu loves to venture forth on the longer trails and have a relaxing nap in his own paddock. ❤️

Esittelyt jatkuvat! Vuorossa Vertti, vaellushevosten ekspertti. 🏅
Raviuran tehnyt Vertti on Polaris Pointin lauman hierarkiassa heti johtajasta seuraava, ja lauman kesken Vertti onkin melkoinen vääpeli! Tarhassa kavereiden komentelu on Vertille tärkeä vastuutehtävä, jota toimitellaan aina sopivissa väleissä, ja kun muistetaan. Retkillä ja ihmisten seurassa Vertti on vertaansa vailla! Luotettava, tasainen ja reippaalla moottorilla toimiva Vertti on monen mieleen, ja on erityisen lempeä ratsastajille joita vähän jännittää. Huomaavainen Vertti pitää ratsastajista hyvää huolta. ❤️ Vertti on mietteliäs herrasmies, joka hetkittäin vaipuu omiin syviin ajatuksiinsa ja katselee suurilla silmillään horisonttiin pohtien epäilemättä suuria, hienoja ajatuksia.

Introducing the trailmasters part 2! Vertti the expert among trailhorses. 🏅
Vertti has done a racing career before joining our team, and in our herd hierarchy he’s the second in command. With his herd he is a little general who takes his responsibility seriously- bossing others around when an opportunity rises, or when he remembers. On the trail and with people he’s simply the best! Vertti is steady, reliable and works eagerly with his own engine. Vertti is especially kind to riders who are little nervous - Vertti will always take a good care of his riders. ❤️ Considerate and kind Vertti is a thoughtful little horse, who mind sometimes wanders to no doubt deep and profound thoughts - when that happens, you can find him staring into the distance with a happy face.
