and I were lucky enough to have and her family stay in the village. A talented artist who painted some local flora and fauna at the new village community hall, some of which ( sacred red prawns and a species of tree ) are only found in a couple of places in Fiji including Naweni village. Kat and Kalani also mustered up enthusiasm in the village where the kids would come to the community hall after school and paint marine scenes until dark. Special memories and looking forward to the next chapter of building a pontoon and swing ropes for the kids in the lagoon and creating a coral farm to help restore and protect the reef in the village marine grounds. Vinaka Vaka Levu Kat, Kalani, Alwin, Moggy, Pale and Bongo. Sota Tale!

In both Savusavu and Natewa bay’s sand bank islands are an amazing days adventure surrounded by healthy reefs and the feeling that you are marooned far from civilisation.
