Delana House Fiji escapes TC Harold.....
Thanks to our wonderful staff Rohit, Pranil, Laisa & Solo plus two other boys to help with the clean up.
All the ‘cyclone preparedness’ chores were completed two days before – the wire strops in place, shutters up, furniture etc inside, it is a big job. So the result when it hit was mostly flying vegetation, a couple of trees down including one large frangipani on the drive, the pool became a ‘floating garden’, plants ripped out and a general mess. Fortunately there was no structural damage to the buildings.
Our team of six worked very hard the day after and Delana was all cleaned up in 8 hours – very impressive!
Thank-you to everyone for their efforts as well as our neighbour Peter who organised a truck to take away all the debris which was piled on our street Beverley Court.
It’s hard to believe the photos attached of and from Delana with clear blue sky, immaculate clean pool, lawns and garden, were only 48 hours after TC Harold struck!! Delana House is still the same tranquil place.
