There are places we think we know… and then we discover them again with wonder. 🌿

Ten years after my first visit, I returned to the Maison Caillebotte in Yerres, just 20 km from Paris.

What a lovely surprise to see how much has changed! The journey there is pleasant, the town centre is full of charm, and the local heritage is beautifully presented.

Then, there is the garden, the flowers in the sunlight, an artist drawing in the park… and the wonderful feeling of stepping into an Impressionist painting.

A day filled with art, nature and history, ending with a fascinating talk about Claude Monet.

Sometimes, you don't have to travel far to escape from everyday life.

A truly authentic and cultural experience!

Beautiful getaways in the Chevreuse Valley, just a short trip from Paris! Enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside, while staying close to the city. The area is easily accessible by RER B directly from Paris, with the last stop at Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse.

What if the best way to discover a destination was to experience it first? 🌿

On Friday, September 25, I had the pleasure of joining a tour organized by Destination .

It was a half-day to discover the area and enjoy a change of scenery, just a short distance from Paris: leaving the urban area behind to discover beautiful landscapes, villages, nature and a rich heritage — castles, abbeys, farms… — including the beautiful Moulin de Vilgris.

But most importantly, it was a great opportunity to meet the people who make this destination come alive: heritage professionals, actors, restaurant owners, local producers, artisans, tourism offices and transport companies…

👉 A real network of people, skills and passion, all working together to show the Chevreuse Valley in a different way.

These meetings are very valuable. They help us better understand the area and the people who bring it to life. They also give us ideas for creating tailor-made experiences, combining heritage, culture, food, nature and human connections, for individual travelers and groups.

And why not offer the Chevreuse Valley as a nature break during a business trip, around or after a conference or convention? 💼🌿

A day outside the conference room can offer a completely different experience: a group outing, a team-building activity, a cultural discovery, a meeting with local people or a delicious moment in the fresh air…
