Part of riding with us is sharing what we know — technique, confidence, and all those little things that make you a better rider and help you feel confident on the bike.

We watched the 2026 Mountain Bike World Championships Men’s Elite XCO on Sunday and found ourselves looking at what the best riders were doing when the course got technical.

It got us thinking: there’s watching bike racing. Then there’s watching how they ride.

We spend a lot of time on bikes. Inevitably, we spend a lot of time talking about them too — line choice, technique, confidence, what works and what doesn’t.

It’s part of who we are. And part of what we share with our guests.

Over the years, our guests have asked us many great questions. We think there’s always something to learn when you spend time riding unfamiliar roads.

Today’s: How to keep your traction when the road gets loose. That's a fair question, especially if you do not live somewhere with this type of terrain.

On off-road climbs, staying seated, shifting your weight back, and keeping a smooth, steady pedal stroke can make all the difference. More grip. More forward motion.

Our 2026 Traka experience was filled with guests from around the world, plenty of fun, and a great week on and off the bike. Bikes serviced, event numbers pinned on, and the lead to the start line.

That’s what custom travel with Pyrenees Cycling Club is about. The Traka is part of the event — but the experience around it can be shaped to your itinerary, your riding, the fun, and what you want from your holiday.

We are a small boutique cycling company rooted in the French Mediterranean Pyrenees. We know these mountains. We ride here, play, and explore here. We believe in local, in-season food. We believe in community and creating real relationships that last beyond a tour. We believe in routes curated from lived experience and an adventurous, curious spirit. We believe in cultural depth (patrimoine) made accessible, warm, and human. And lastly, we believe no matter the age—may we all still simply have fun and pedal.

September and October may be full with custom tours, but we invite you to join us in Spring of 2027.

Summer in the Mediterranean Pyrenees hits different when the trails go quiet. ☀️

With our gravel tours paused in August for the heat, we’re using this off-season to rest, reset, and prepare for our next wave of guests arriving in September.

Behind the scenes, we’re also building out some very exciting new projects for the future- and you're all part of this plan!
