LOU TRINDER, veteran of both D-Day and the Russian Arctic Convoys.
Lou became something of an icon over the years he supported the annual Arromanches commemorations, his neatly trimmed white goatee setting off his distinctive and proudly worn white berret now on display in the beautiful new Musee du Debarquement on the seafront.
