🇦🇷 Esto no es un manifiesto. No se trata de una declaración atrevida en el diseño de la vida contemporánea. Las puertas fueron robadas después del gran incendio y nos llevó unos años encontrar quien las hiciera exactamente como las queremos. Ahora sólo nos queda el detalle de juntar los fondos para hacerlas jejeje.

Pero, al verlo desde un lado más positivo, cruzar el umbral sin puertas es una experiencia diferente. Entrar a casa es como entrar a un mundo que fluye con ritmo propio entre los distintos espacios, permitiendo que la luz y el aire se muevan sin esfuerzo de una habitación a la otra, renovando según el tiempo nuestra vida cotidiana.
🇺🇸 This is not a bold statement in modern living design, no. the doors were stolen after the big fire and took us a few years to find someone that will make them exactly as we want them. Now we only need to find the money to do them though hehehe.

On the bright side, coming home is like stepping into a world of openness, seamlessly flowing between spaces, allowing light and air to effortlessly move from room to room, breathing a sense of fluidity into our everyday life.

I stood there, paused in front of the kitchen window of the little farmhouse we are living in, sipping quietly that much needed first cup of black coffee, gazing at the pearly shimmer of the morning frost combing the vineyards.

Part of me worrying about the freshly pruned vines, while the other part of me —the one that usually wakes up earlier, was getting lost in the rather whimsical, undisturbed scene before me.

The sun rose brightly far too quickly to take a good photo of it, but I managed to capture Belebat instead, emerging stoically from that same silvery pool that bathed the vineyards. Have a lovely Tuesday les amis!

Y me quede parado ahí, inmóvil frente a la ventana de la cocina en la pequeña farmhouse en la que vivimos, saboreando en silencio mi primera taza de café negro, contemplando el brillo perlado de la escarcha peinando los viñedos.

Una parte de mí se preocupaba por las viñas recién podadas, mientras que la otra parte de mí —la que generalmente se despierta más temprano, se perdía en la bucólica escena que, aún imperturbable, se desenvolvía frente a mí.

Amaneció muy rápido como para tomar una buena foto, pero me las arreglé para capturar a Belebat flotando estoicamente en ese mismo remanso de plata que bañaba los viñedos. Buen martes les amis!

W i n t e r l i g h t
🇦🇷 Repasaba mi mente la lista de tareas a terminar antes de arrancar el próximo proyecto. Una mañana normal, rutinaria, mis pies contando, como siempre, los 24 escalones hasta los dormitorios y con los brazos pesados de cargar el canasto de ropa recién planchada… entonces la mirada, que sin ver apuntaba a la nada, encuentra en su mira el sol de la mañana.

De repente la ropa doblada sobre la cama tenía ese perfume dulce, casi avainillado del algodón tibio y desde el walkie-talkie en mi bolsillo (el regalo más popular al pie del arbolito) me llegaba el mensaje de los chicos que, entre carcajadas pedían lasagna para el almuerzo mientras jugaban en el bosque… así que hoy se amasa! Muy buen viernes les amis!
🇺🇸 My mind was meandering through the list of tasks to finish before starting the next project. An ordinary routine morning with my feet counting, instinctively, the 24 steps to the bedrooms and heavy arms carrying the basket of freshly ironed clothes... then the eyes that were looking without seeing, gazing out at the nothingness, discovered the morning sun brushing the room.

Suddenly the folded clothes on the bed had that sweet, almost vanilla-scented smell of warm cotton and from the walkie-talkie in my pocket (the most popular gift at the foot of the Christmas tree) I heard the kids asking for lasagna for lunch laughing, hysterically, while playing in the forest... so… lasagna it is! Have very good Friday les amis!

🇦🇷 Cuando decimos que bovinos de campamento dentro de nuestro fantástico castillo renacentista... no es una broma. Sí, hay un baby-grand negro en el salón y la mesa en el comedor es para 20 personas, pero no hay puertas y la electricidad llega a través de un alargue desde una de nuestras casas de huéspedes... y así y todo nos encanta cada centímetro de esta casa.

No hace mucho trajimos agua al chateau e instalamos un wc en el segundo piso (no me pregunten cómo nos las arreglábamos antes). Este es un rincón de esa habitación, bonita y ordenada después de unas fotos para una revista.

🇺🇸 When we say we are camping in our gorgeous renaissance castle… is not a joke. Yes, there’s a black baby-grand in the living room and our dining room seats 20 people, but there are no doors and the electricity comes through an extension cord from one of our guest’s houses… and we love every inch of this house.

No long ago we brought water into the building and set up a toilet in the second floor (don’t ask me how we managed before that). This is a corner of that room, nice and tidy after a shoot for a magazine.
