We've been busy in the shipyard having a new steering system, improves to the bow and hull metal work, replacing the sacrificial wear plates and anodes, as well as other bits a pieces to keep improving the Luciole!

It takes 5 days to get to the shipyard in the south of Paris. Cruising on the Yonne and Seine with the big freight barges.

🎆 Juillet 14 - Commemorating the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789.
Following a financial crisis and social unrest, citizens of Paris seized weapons from the Invalides armoury and marched to the ancient Royal fortress, the Bastille. After a bloody round of firing, the crowd broke into the Bastille and released the handful of prisoners held there. This signalled the first victory of the people of Paris against the "Ancien Régime"
Resulting in radical measures, such as the abolition of feudalism, state control over the Catholic Church in France, and a declaration of rights.
