Time literally stands still in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence: the remains of Glanum, an ancient city from the Roman Empire, can be visited and are well worth it, especially on a sunny day.
The walls of the houses, churches and public buildings form a kind of map, allowing you to vividly imagine how people got through their days back then.
Right next to Glanum, within walking distance, you'll find la Maison de Santé Saint Paul, a care home where Vincent van Gogh spent a year and created many of his famous paintings.
The clinic is still in use today, but a section is open to visitors, including Van Gogh's bedroom.
Mind blown or old news? 😉
Love from the south of France!
