The gite is situated in a small village, Benac, renowned for its displays of manikins in the summer months representing times gone by!! It is a wonderful base for walking, cycling on the tour de France routes, visiting the many Cathar castles and other tourist attractions. There are lakes nearby for swimming and plenty of things to interest children such as the parc Prehistoire and the Forges de P

yrenees. Caves can be found in the spectacular mountains with prehistoric paintings. The town of Foix has many restaurants and a weekly market on Fridays.
