Château Siran was once owned by Toulouse-Lautrec's great-grandmother, and came into the Miailhe family in 1859. Since 2007, Édouard Miailhe has held the keys to the estate.

A beautiful day led us the estate's barrel cellar for our great pleasure !

Château de Bourran is a former winegrowing estate.

At the end of the Ancien Régime, it belonged to the Minimes of Bordeaux. It is located in the Parc de Bourran in Mérignac and was designed by landscape architect Louis Le Breton.

The Jardin Public was designed by landscape architect Ange Jacques Gabriel.

One century later, landscape's decoration was set up by Fisher.

It features an arboretum, a library and a Natural History Museum, as well as attractions for children !

At the origin, Place de la Bourse was a royal place for the French king Louis 15th.

Cap Ferret 🏝was occupied for a long time by hunters and fishermen coming from the other bay’s side. The first inhabitants landed in 1908. Tourism in Cap Ferret was strongly helped by its connection with Arcachon.

Le Cap Ferret 🏝fut longtemps occupé par des chasseurs et pêcheurs venant de l’autre côté du bassin. Les premiers habitants débarquent en 1908. Le tourisme du Cap Ferret a été fortement aidé par sa liaison avec Arcachon.

A pinasse is a traditional boat from Arcachon bay 🏖. Its bottom is flat and it was traditionally used for oyster farming and fishing 🎣. Since the 19th century, thé pinasse is used to stroll.

Une pinasse est un bateau traditionnel du bassin d’Arcachon 🏖. Son fond est plat et il était traditionnellement utilisé pour l’ostréiculture et la pêche 🎣. Au XIXe siècle, la pinasse devient aussi une activité touristique, à base de balade.

The Landes forest 🌲 has an area of about 1 million hectares. A large part of this forest 🌳 is superficial. Around 1970, some parts were replaced by intensive Agricultural exploitations (in particular the culture of corn 🌽).

La forêt des Landes 🌲 a une superficie d’environ 1 millions d’hectares. Une grande partie de cette forêt 🌳 est superficielle. Vers 1970, certaines parties ont été remplacées par des exploitations Agricoles intensives (en particulier la culture de maïs 🌽).

Arcachon’s seaside town 🏝 begins to be born with François Legallais in 1823 when he creates a sea establishment called the "Bel Air" on the Eyrac’s beach. La ville balnéaire d'Arcachon 🏝 commence à naître avec François Legallais en 1823 lorsqu'il crée un établissement de mer appelé le "Bel Air" sur la plage d'Eyrac. Nouvelle Aquitaine includes 3 million forets’s hectares 🌳. One million of which is dedicated to maritime pines. La Teste-de-Buch’s state forest comes from an endemic forest from the South of Arcachon. It became artificial following the planting to fight against silting in the 18th century. Near the Cazaux’s lac is located the last
resin tree hut of the forêt 🍃domaniale.

La nouvelle Aquitaine comprend 3 millions d'hectares de forêts 🌳 dont un million dédié aux pins maritimes. La forêt domaniale de La Teste-de-Buch provient d'une forêt endémique du Sud d'Arcachon. Elle est devenue artificielle suite à la plantation des semis pour lutter contre l'ensablement à partir du 18ème siècle.
Près de l'étang de Cazaux se situe la dernière cabane de résinier de la forêt 🍃domaniale.
