🌊 First time in Bordeaux? Start by following the Garonne River. 😊

On one side, the elegant façades of the Port de la Lune ✨ On the other, the Garonne River, constantly changing with the tides.

And in between? Cyclists, walkers, sunny terraces, and all the laid-back French lifestyle that Bordeaux is known for 🥰

🌊 City break in Bordeaux… Beach day tomorrow? Absolutely!

Just over an hour from Bordeaux, Cap Ferret is the perfect escape for a day full of oysters, ocean views, and sandy beaches!

Here are 3 things you absolutely shouldn’t miss:

1. Eat oysters by the Bassin 🦪

An oyster hut, some fresh oysters, and your feet almost in the water… This is Cap Ferret at its best.

2. Climb the iconic lighthouse 🔴

Take on the 258 steps to the top and enjoy panoramic views of the Bassin, the peninsula, and the Atlantic Ocean.

3. Hit the Atlantic beaches 🏄‍♀️

Long stretches of sand, waves, and a completely different atmosphere from Bordeaux. Perfect for swimming, surfing, or simply relaxing.

Getting there?

🚗 By car: around 1h15 from Bordeaux, depending on traffic.

🚌 By bus: Take the regional express coach 410 from Bordeaux towards Arès / Lège-Cap-Ferret. Some services continue towards the peninsula, so check the timetable before traveling.

Planning your day? Stop by the Bordeaux Tourist Office for more information and tips on getting to Cap Ferret and making the most of your trip!
